In the beginning, totally listen to "Fallin' For You" for Coble Caillat! :) It relates to the beginning, flashback, and photo shoot so much!<3

~Luke's P.O.V.
My eyes fluttered open and instantly landed on Chloe, she's the first thing I saw. A lazy smile appeared on my lips as I stared at her with adoration. She was snoring quietly with her head resting gently on my chest and one of her hands placed out in front of her, clenching my shirt. Chloe's eyes were still glued shut but she shifted slightly, nuzzling her head deeper into the crook of my neck. Her legs wrapped around mine and my cheek rested softly on top of her forehead as I held her tightly against my body.
It was a surprise how our body intertwined perfectly together as if it were meant to be, like we were two matching puzzle pieces. The room was silent and with her warm body pressed against mine, I could hear the slow rhythmic beat of her heart matching the same speed of my own. I tilted my head, kissing her hairline tenderly as I listened to her steady breathing.
I closed my bright blue eyes, recalling my memory of last night.
Sam decided after watching a scary movie, we should all finish the night with a happy childish film, so he picked Lion King. I didn't really care, I actually really enjoyed watching it and by the looks on everyone's face, they didn't mind reliving their childhood either. I could feel Chloe beginning to fall asleep and after a few minutes, I knew she was knocked out cold.
I chuckled quietly, not wanting to wake her up, and pulled the blanket tangled around her feet free. Softly but quickly, I dragged it over her body and placed it under her arms. While she slept soundlessly in peace, I continued watching the movie and silently humming along to the songs.
About an hour later, Simba beat Uncle Scar and the Walt Disney classic was over. Sam got up with a yawn and pulled out his phone, his eyes went slightly wide.
"It's late, I better get back home," he said sadly, a hint of regret in his voice.
Michael frowned and the rest of us started moving from their spots, I of course, couldn't do anything because of Chloe.
"Ya I better get going too, got to unpack later and all!" Smiled Natalie who was sluggishly standing up, extending a hand to a lazy Calum laying on the floor.
Everyone soon followed and got up, giving their hugs and saying goodbyes while I sat their awkwardly on the couch, waving as they passed.
Natalie came over and gave me a half hug without trying to stir Chloe from her sleep, "It was nice to meet you Luke..." She grinned, winking at me and staring at her best friend on my lap.
"Nice meeting you too," I replied as she headed towards the door, giving Calum and Ashton one last hug. "Hopefully I'll see you guys real soon!" Natalie teased and Sam nodded, agreeing with her.
"I'll probably see you tomorrow," he chuckled, waving once more.
After a couple more seconds, they both left and the boys and I looked at each other.
It was past midnight, 1:04 to be specific, and none of us knew how to get back to our flat. We didn't even know where we were to be honest and I think everyone was to tired to figure out the way back anyways. I guess we'd be crashing here tonight, I hope Chloe wouldn't mind.
"I call the couch!" Calum yelled and we all hushed him when we saw Chloe shift in her sleep, mumbling something under her breath. "Oops! Sorry," he apologized quietly.
"I'll just sleep on the floor," suggested Ashton and Michael shrugged his shoulders, "I'm going to look around and see if there's a spare guest room anywhere."
I slowly started to lift Chloe off of my legs and held her bridal style in my arms. "Whatever for me, I'm just going to bring her to her bed," I whispered faintly and the boys nodded, already separating and going their own ways.
Without another word, I started heading towards her room, walking up the stairs, and kicking the door open with my foot being quiet as possibly. I walked over to the edge of her bed and gently placed her down on the mattress. I stared at her for a moment or two before forcing myself to leave.
Chloe's groggy voice caught me by surprise, "Luke?" She mumbled, calling my name sleepily.
I paused, my hands resting on the doorknob, debating whether or not to say anything. Perhaps she was dreaming and called out my name? I shook my head, realizing that was a stupid thought. "Yes?" I say after a rather hesitant second.
"Don't leave me..." She whispered, turning her head and blinking at me with her big brown eyes.
I looked at her but she closed her eyes again, motioning me closer with lazy, tired hands.
"Chloe... A-are you s-sure?" I stuttered nervously, staring at the innocent girl resting on her bed half asleep.
She nodded feebly, "Yes, stay."
I shook my head, even though she probably didn't see it, and took a few steps back. "I can sleep in the living room, it's okay."
"No Luke, please stay," she mumbles in a weak plead.
"Okay..." I whispered, giving up. I climbed in her bed, staying at the other far end and watching her in wonder.
She opened her eyes, smiling up at me, "Thank you," she mutters.
I draw the blanket closer, "You're welcome," I chuckled back, staring at her long after she fell back asleep and her quiet snoring filled the empty air. A while later, I felt sleep tug at my eyelids and I went under with exhaustion.
"Stop staring at me..." Chloe murmured in her morning voice.
I chuckled, running my fingers through her hair absentmindedly, "I was not staring at you."
"I know you were, stop lying to me Luke," she giggled, now wide awake and gazing at me through her chocolate brown eyes.
She touched my arm lightly, tracing her own fingers along my skin. It was still a mystery how we woke up so close to each other, we were basically cuddling... yet I remember falling asleep far away from her on the other side of the bed.
I shivered at her touch and she looked up from what she was doing and grinned, "Does it tickle?"
I shook my head, mirroring her sweet smile, "Not at all," I whispered and she rolled her eyes teasingly.
"I'm hungry..." She muttered, trying to sit up but my grip on her only tightened and I pulled her back down.
She giggled again, hitting her head on the pillow. She was staring at me with amusement dancing in her brown eyes, "Luke Hemmings... Can you keep your hands to yourself so I can go eat?"
I shook my head stubbornly, "Nope."
Chloe laughed, snorting quietly, and brought a hand over her nose.
"Why do you hide your snorts?" I suddenly ask out of curiosity.
She looked away, twiddling her thumbs. "I hate my snorts," she admitted casually and not going into anymore detail.
I smirked, brushing a stray piece of brunette hair away form her gorgeous face, "Well... I like it when you laugh so hard you snort. It's cute, don't try to hide it anymore, okay? For me, Mr. Responsible."
Chloe laughed loudly, snorting a couple more times, but this time she didn't try muffling the sound. She gazed back up at me and grinned.
Taking the sudden chance, she pulled away, breaking out of my hold. "Hey!" I complained and she giggled, sticking out her tongue at me.
"Come on! I'm hungry... Unless you want to stay here by yourself all alone," she joked, already leaving without me.
"Wait for me!" I called after her, rushing to catch up and wrapping my arms around her waist. I pulled her towards me and she squealed in surprise. Chloe tried to run away again and I shook my head, dragging her back to her room.
She laughed, twisting around and playfully threw punches at my chest, "Let me go Luke! Let me go!"
"Never!" I yelled back, almost succeeding in bringing her through her bedroom door when she stepped on my foot and dashed off.
"Owe!" I cried, once more racing after her but she beat me to the living room with a wide open grin, "Ha!" She declared victorious.
"Ya ya," I chuckled. She was still smirking proudly when we both walked into the kitchen, the smell of eggs drifting throughout the house. Calum was at the stove with a spatula, Ashton had out his phone, and they were both laughing crazily, no doubt they were recording a keek.
"Oh God it's burning! Shit!" Chuckled Calum, running over and flipping the eggs in the pan.
Me and Chloe continued watching the entertainment with silly grins plastered on our faces.
Ashton started laughing even more, "Bam! Flip that egg!"
"Aight so we'd be making scrambled eggs instead!" Laughed Calum, trying to fix the mess but failing.
After Ashton said "bye!" I was positive the keek was over and we walked over to them, snickering at the two.
"Want some scrambled eggs?" Calum asked, or should I say 'Chef Calum Hood.'
"Sure," Chloe smiled, grabbing a plate for herself.
She took an extra plate and handed it to me, "Do you want some?" I nodded and took it from her hands, putting it beside the stove.
"Don't fuck up my eggs Calum," I warned with a hint of a smile.
Calum waved his spatula at me and gave me a load of sass, "I can't promise you that sweetheart. Your eggs may come out fucked and weird looking, but you're going to eat those eggs whether you like it or not."
Ashton couldn't control his laughter and Chloe couldn't stop giggling either, actually non of us could. Michael had hardly just walked in the room and gave us all a strange look, making us chuckle even harder! Ashton was in tears by the time we all got a grip on ourselves.
"Mike want some eggs?" Chloe asked, sitting at the dinning table beside me.
He nodded, walking over to Chef Calum and leaving the both of us alone. In around five minutes, everyone gathered around and quickly devoured their eggs, practically swallowing it whole. About another six minutes passed and everyone was done with their breakfast, finishing a glass of orange juice.
~Chloe's P.O.V.
I checked my phone and unsurprisingly saw an email from Mrs. Evans. I pulled it open and scanned over the boys work schedule and tapped the screen of my white Iphone5, circling a specific time. It was real... I was actually going to assist Five Seconds of Summer! I can't screw this up.
"Okay, so I just got a message from my boss and it says you four have a photo shoot today."
Their eyebrows raised but they kept silent as I continued speaking, and well, giving them orders. It was strange, it was never really my job being the one telling people what to do.
"Since I'm guessing you boys have to shower and change, we'll meet up at the office at eleven, sound good?"
They all nodded.
"You guys know how to get home and where the office is, right?"
Silence.
Luke coughed, shrugging his shoulders, "I think we can manage."
"Great!" I smiled, ignoring the unsure looks from the other three bandmates.
I checked the time, 9:30am. An hour and a half to get ready, which was more than enough! With the boys giving me quick hugs and rushing out the door, I hurriedly run up to my room, searched through my draws, grabbed my set of clothes, and went into the shower with the music on my phone blasting loudly through it's speakers.
Stepping into the shower, I immediately recognized the upbeat song as "If You Can't Hang" by Sleeping With Sirens. I gave a slight smirk, tilting my head upwards and letting the water run down my face.
I shook my wet hair, preparing myself for when verse one was about to start. I grinned, singing loudly and freely without a care in the world as I danced around in circles under the shower head.
Met a girl at seventeen
Thought she meant the world to me,
So I gave her everything,
She turned out to be a cheat,
Said she'd been thinking for a long time
And she found somebody new
I've been thinking that this whole time
Well I never thought you'd stay
That's okay
I hope he takes your filthy heart
And then he throws you away some day
Before you go, there's one thing you oughta know
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door
I don't wanna take your precious time
'Cause you're such a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty face
But you turned into a pretty big waste of my time
I don't wanna take up all your time
'Cause you're such a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty face
But you turned into a pretty big waste of my time
You're the lowest type
You're the lowest
I met a girl stuck in her ways
She found a boy she knew she'd change
I changed my clothes, my hair, my face
To watch us go our separate ways
She said we've grown apart for some time
But then she found somebody new
I hope Mr. Right puts up with all the bullshit that you do
Stay the hell away
While I sit here by myself
And figure out how I got this way
Before you go, there's one thing you oughta know
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door, baby
If you can't hang then, there's the door
I wasn't sure how many minutes passed by the time I was done thoroughly washing my hair and cleaning my body. I wrapped a towel around my torso and hastily blow dried my hair before taking out my curling ironer. After I was satisfied with my hair, I threw on my pair of clothes and applied a fresh coat of natural makeup. A little bit of foundation here, some blush there, mascara, a thin layer of pink eyeshadow, and matching pink lipgloss, I was ready to go. I rubbed my lips together and stared at my own reflection in the mirror.
I gave a faint smile and turned off the lights, slipping free from my bathroom and hurriedly went downstairs, grabbing my coach purse hanging on the stairs.
I checked my phone, 10:25 and it only takes me about fifteen minutes to get to work, and an extra five to grab Mrs. Evan's coffee. I was about ready to leave, I had the front door already swung open when my dad stepped in front of me, nearing knocking me over.
"Oh hey dad," I greeted as he walked right past me and straight to his office as if I wasn't even there. I gave a small frown and sighed, "I guess not."
I closed the door, locking it behind me as I got in my car, started the engine, and backed out of the drive way. With the radio on and me having a mini party in my red BMW, the drive to Starbucks didn't seem to take that long. I rapidly pulled into the employee parking garage belonging to Mrs. Evan's corporation and parked in my usual spot. Walking across the lot and heading into the coffee shop as I always do every morning, I flashed a quick smile at Emily who was helping someone at the register, and picked up the already prepared skinny cinnamon dolce latte sitting on the counter.
"Thanks!" I called out to her as I walked by.
She nodded at me, "No problem!"
Pacing myself, I crossed the street and entered the building. I tapped on the receptions desk and got onto the waiting elevator without a second to spare. Once on floor 12, I walked straight towards Mrs. Evans door and knocked on it twice. She called me in and the steaming latte was in her hands by the time it turned eleven o'clock.
She took a long sip from the cup, her eyes never wavering from the magazine article clippings in front of her. "Thank you Chloe," she said at last, meeting my gaze. "When the boys are here I want you to take them straight away to Mr. Parker for their photo shoot, no funny business at all."
I dipped my head respectful, "Of course Mrs. Evans, anything else?"
She waved her hand, "Nothing right now, thank you. You may leave." I nodded, filing out of the room without complaint.
I checked my phone again, 11:05. Come on boys, where are you?
The elevator doors slide open just then, and I looked up, seeing four bantering boys inside it. I chuckled, mentally face palming myself. Of course they'd get lost.
"It's this floor Calum!" Ashton argued where as Calum shook his head yelling back, "It's floor ten I'm positive!"
Michael started pressing random buttons and Luke was trying to pry his arms away, "Michael! We're already late, you're making it worse!"
"Who cares if we're late?" Whined Mike, continuing to dodge Luke's hands and making even more buttons light up as he pushed them.
I giggled, surprised they didn't see me standing right in front of them. "Boys. Boys! BOYS!"
"WHAT!" They all looked up in annoyance to see my astonished yet amused face. I waved at them as the elevator rung again and started to close.
"Press the damn open button Luke!" Calum exclaimed as the elevator completely shut closed and their muffled screaming was put on hold.
I laughed, standing there as I waited for the elevator to reopen after it went up and came down every floor - thanks to Clifford - and there were about thirty or so levels in this building. Another five minutes passed before the elevator stopped on the right floor.
Four Australian boys stared at me in embarrassment as they strolled out in silence.
"Welcome back!" I teased and they snickered, each giving me a hug. "You're late..." I scowled, trying to be businesslike but they didn't really buy it.
Ashton rubbed the back of his neck and Calum coughed awkwardly. "Ya we know, sorry," Luke mumbled and I just shook my head.
"Come on! And by the way, you know you could have just got off and used a different elevator or the stairs, right?" I say as I began walking ahead, leading them to the photo shoot set room.
They paused behind me and I stopped, turning around confused. Calum slapped his face, and Michael groaned. Ashton and Luke looked at each other as if they were the most stupidest people in the world.
"I told you we should have done that!" Ashton whined.
Michael flicked a finger at him, Luke and Calum just chuckled as they followed me down the hall.
I ran my knuckles along the door, "They're here."
Sam come out, giving a relieved sigh as he saw me. "Thank goodness! I thought you guys got lost or something."
I giggled, staring at the band as they walked through the room.
Calum and Luke smirked, "Uh about that..."
Sam clapped his hands, smiling at us, "No time for that! Never mind. Chloe!" He shouted, pointing a strict finger at me.
I looked at him with big eyes, whenever Sam's at work, he seems like a completely different guy but that was only because he was so dedicated to his job. "Yes?"
"Go with the girls, don't question why, just goo!"
I rolled my eyes as four girls, I'm guessing were stylist, came rushing at me like dogs. They pulled at my sleeves and pushed me away, ushering me towards the curtains at the end of the room that lead to who knows where.
"And you four!" I heard Sam's voice echo around us before I was moved into a quieter room and they shut the door behind me, the rest of his words were drowned out.
"What? Did Sam tell you to lock me in the dressing room and I wasn't allowed to see the photo shoot?"
One of the girls laughed, shaking her head. "Of course not! We have specific orders, why would you ever think that?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "What orders?"
A girl with black hair and deep emerald eyes placed a hand over the girls lips, "You'll find out!" She squeaked, grabbing a brush from the stand and started to comb my hair.
I watched on in confusion, but didn't say anything else. They told me to sit and I did as told, soon enough, the girls started circling me, surrounding every inch of my body. One of them would brush my hair until it was smooth and silky, while another would take my hand, paint multiple layers of nail polish before finishing up and doing my toes. A different stylist would tell me to close my eyes and apply makeup or whatever cosmetics she had on the table in front of her. The last lady was somewhere in the room but I didn't know what she was doing, I would only hear her whistling as she shuffled through what I think, was a closet. It went on like that for about twenty minutes and I would sit patiently in the chair as they poked and jabbed at my face and pulled my hands and legs.
After the lady was done coating something on my lips, which I was hoping was lipgloss, they told me I was almost done.
"You can open your eyes now," the black haired one said, spinning my chair so I was face to face with the mirror.
Slowly, I reopened my eyes and blinked, my brown eyes meeting the ghostly ones in the mirror. I gasped in pure shock. The girl staring back at me was glamorous and beautiful... that girl surprisingly, was me.
"I-I look... Beautiful," I barely whispered, unable to find my own voice.
The four girls shook their head and smiled warmly at me, "You already are pretty honey, we just put a bit of makeup on you, that's it," spoke the girl who first talked to me, a light brunette.
I gave a genuine smile, "Thank you."
"But that's not all!" grinned the dart tanned stylist that's been MIA. She held two hangers in both hands, on her left she was carrying a palish coral pink dress with a brown feathery skirt. In the other she was gripping a lighter short carnation pink dress with a silver laced heart-shaped top and a diamond like flower rested in the middle. The bottom length of the cute dress was covered in flowing lace and fell around my knees. "Dressing time!" She sang, hanging up the first dress and dragging me into the little booth at the corner.
"Wow those are stunning..." I whispered but it was only for a second because she threw the pretty pinkish silver dress at me, demanded me to change right away, and yanked the curtains closed.
I was silent for a moment, frozen in place. Gradually I came back to my senses and took off my cartoon Micky and Minni Mouse shirt, stepped out of my skinny jeans, and pulled the dress over my head gently. I patted it down in place, smoothing out any unnecessary wrinkles and drew the curtains away.
I stepped out and they all squealed in a unison. "How do I look?" I asked the four girls, twirling in my dress for them.
"Fabulous!"
"Stunning!"
"Gorgeous!"
"Beautiful!" They all cried out once they saw me. I smiled again, feeling my cheeks burn as I blushed.
The blond stylist waved a pair of lovely silver high heels in front of me, "Try these on."
I nodded and she helped slip on the shoes for me, zipping them in the back. They looked me over and gave me a big thumbs up.
"Err, I'm sorry but I never caught your guys names? Mine's Chloe."
They smiled, saying they already knew who I was, and introduced each other as Chelsey (the African American one) Isabel (the black haired girl) Lizzy (the blonde who gave me the shoes) and Robin (the light brunette).
With a small thanks, they hurriedly told me to go see Sam right away and that I'd have to come back after a few shots to change into the feathery dress. I blinked, staring at them as if they lost their minds. Isabel explained to me that Sam promised me a real photo shoot, which was true, and today he was keeping that promise.
My face literally blew up after the news sunk in and I thanked them again, running off back to the shoot.
Keep your calm Chloe...
I deliberately slowed my pace when the room came into sight. I inhaled deeply, reminding myself that modeling is a dream of mine that's about to happen but... if Mrs. Evans ever caught me, I'd be dead.
I could hear Sam's voice clearly now and he was directing the boys where to stand. In hushed silence, I watched them through the cracks in the curtains. Calum, Luke, Michael, and Ashton also looked as if they had a recent visit to the stylist. They didn't look that much different, just a bit polished up, and they were wearing the same clothes. Luke was wearing a navy button up with rolled up sleeves and black jeans. He looked extremely hot in it. Calum had on a similar black button up with blue jeans. Ashton wore dark blue jeans and a "live forever young" black tank top. Michael was in a plain white shirt with black jeans as well. They all looked really good to be honest.
Okay stop stalling Chloe! It's your time to shine... Rock that photo set!
I took another death breath, giggling a little at how silly I was being. With a confident, sweet smile, I walked through the curtains with my head held high, looking at the five boys goofing around in front of me. Luke turned at the sudden sound of my entrance and meet my eyes. He was smiling at something Calum said but by the time his eyes landing directly on me, it flattened. Luke's ocean blue eyes grew five times it's normal size and he gawked at me, ignoring the boys teasing and pushing him.
I blushed under his strong stare and continued walking towards them. The other boys noticed how off Luke was being and followed his gaze, their eyes fell on me and my dress one by one and they immediately stopped playing around. Sam even turned around now in confusion and his mouth fell open. I bit my lip awkwardly.
Why were they looking at me like that? Did I look that bad?
"Chloe you look amazing cupcake!" Screamed Sam, running towards me and spreading his arm wide, but he stops short and takes a step back, "I don't want to ruin your dress or anything, you look per-fect," he complimented, battering his eyelashes. He took my hand in his and spun me around. "Mmm!" Hummed Sam excitedly.
Calum came up to me and I saw that the rest of the boys were following behind him. I guess they snapped out of whatever spell they were in.
"Chloe you look beautiful."
"Thanks Cal," I grinned, giving him a small hug because Sam nor the girls wanted me to mess up anything.
"I agree!" Smirked Michael, high-fiving me, "You're completely stunning in that outfit, you look so pretty."
Ashton came up next, kissing my cheek in a friendly way, "You could pass for a real princess!"
"Thank you Mike, Ash," I chuckled as Sam yelled at them to go back to set.
Luke came up to me last, his blue eyes twinkling as he gazed at me. He took my hand and brought it to his lips, kissing it softly and muttering, "You look even more gorgeous Chloe, you really are an angel."
I felt the tips of my ears turn crimson red and my cheeks glow a brighter pink, thank goodness you couldn't tell the difference because of my makeup. "Luke, thank you," I whispered quietly, smiling at him.
"Any time," he whispered back teasingly, only making me blush even more. He hadn't let go of my hand and guided me back towards Sam who started telling me his plans.
"Since the boys already did their single and group shots while you were in makeup, I want a few individual shots by yourself and then once that's done, you're going to do a few more shots with each single boy. How's that sound?"
I clapped my hands supportively, "That's a great idea!" I giggled and he sighed jokingly.
"Get to set Chloe!" He yelled, winking at me playfully.
Sam motioned the boys over to the side and the rest of the stage was mine.
It's now or never.
I leaned against the wall with my back slightly, sitting with crossed legs. I turned my head to the side, enough so you could get a good angle on my face, and brought one hand to the top of my head while I let the other one lay in my lap. I posed, staying still like that for a couple seconds as I heard the click of a camera and saw a bright flash of light. I moved positions then, standing up and tilting my head just an inch and stared straight into the camera with a serious look yet a fun, loving smile.
"Perfect!" Sam cried out, "Give me more!"
I chuckled, and he took more snaps. I did many different poses and Sam seemed to love it and devour it all. I had to take a few breaks to change outfits but it wasn't a big hassle. It was about ten, maybe twelve minutes for my individual pictures and even though I was new to the whole pose-for-the-camera thing, I really enjoyed it. It feel right and natural, like I was born to do this for my whole life. I tried doing as many poses as I could, even with everyone rushing around me trying to fix my makeup and hair, but strangely I didn't mind it at all. I wasn't even bothered by everyone staring at me, well just a little bit but maybe it was because I knew Luke was watching me, his cloud blue eyes literally burning a hole through my dress.
After Sam felt sure he got enough pictures of me, he stepped away from his camera and walked over to me, clapping his hands. "That was brilliant Chloe! That was your first time? It didn't seem like it."
I appreciated his sweet words as well as the other compliments from Luke, Michael, Ashton, and Calum.
After a short few minutes with Robin, Chelsey, Lizzy, and Isabel touching up my makeup, it was back to the set. I took a quick swing of my water bottle, chugging most of it down my throat, and placing it back on the table. I walked over to the camera as Sam instructed and stood there waiting.
"ASHTON! HONEY YOU'RE FIRST PLEASE!" Sam yelled, looking around for the drummer.
"I didn't run off, don't worry Parker," Ashton teased, coming up and standing beside me.
"Are you ready Ashy?" I giggled, giving him my "serious face" and he nodded, snickering.
I was actually a bit blown away at how natural Ashton was acting in front of the camera. Like me, it was his first photo shoot but he was doing a great job! He smiled easily for Sam, posing, and flexing his muscles playfully. Sometimes he would even cross his arms over his chest, showing off his biceps and cheeky grin. I loved it, really. He knew what he was doing, he loved the camera and the camera obviously loved him.
"THANK YOU ASHTON, CALUM YOU'RE NEXT!" Sam called, waving Ashton away.
Calum chuckled and took a quick drink from his water bottle before coming up. He had an excited grin and placed his arm on my shoulder, making weird, silly faces for the camera. I knew he was having fun and just wanted to goof off, it was his thing for the photo shoot and it worked for him perfectly well. At one point, he was trying to be gangster and kept taking about being in the "hood" but it would only make me and the other boys laugh. He was entertaining to watch and tried mimicking my poses, girl poses as he claimed them to be, but it only turned out horribly wrong.
Sam gave him a thumbs up, "GREAT JOB CALUM! MICHAEL COME ON UP!"
Michael waved at me and I giggled. He stood beside me, waiting for Sam to give the all go before posing with derp faces and sticking his tongue out. He posed a couple photos with a straight face, looking directly in the camera with those natural smiles. Michael was great, being a mix between Ashton and Calum almost. Michael would flip his hair a lot, running a hand through them and smiling. He even had a lot of hand gestures and signals like flashing the peace sign or just pointing at the camera lens.
Sam winked, flashing us a smile, though I felt like it was more towards Mike than me, "FAB JOB MIKEY! LASTLY LUKE YOU'RE NEXT!"
Luke, with a sly smirk on his lips, replaced Michael's spot. He was a bit awkward in front of the camera once Sam started taking pictures, but I could hardly blame him. I knew he was beyond nervous and I wanted to help him out. He tried posing a couple times, some being really good shots, but most times the other boys would distract him and make him laugh. Of course they did this during all the shots, but Luke kept getting caught in them the most. We posed normally for a few minutes but the boys kept bothering Luke and even though it was funny, it was also getting me sidetracked.
I cupped his bottom chin with my right hand and tilted his head till he was facing me, making him look straight into my eyes. I was trying to keep his focus on me and the photo shoot instead of the boys trying to make a fool out of him, but it was a bit hard when he looked at me with those intense blue eyes that I couldn't read. I smirked, touching my forehead against his and he wrapped his arms around my waist in response. My arms grasped around his neck, my right hand getting tangled and lost in his blond hair. He leaned forward, closer, and I forgot about the annoying snaps of Sam's camera, I forgot I didn't mean for things to go to far, I forgot I was only posing for the camera, I forgot about the other people in the room, including his bandmates, I forgot that we were even at a photo shoot. It was only me and him. I was only focused on Luke.
"AND THAT'S A WRAP! YOU BOTH WERE WONDERFUL! AMAZINGLY DONE!" Sam applauded, breaking the two of us apart. Luke and I continued to stare at each other for a second before I forced myself to look away. I walked over to Sam who was jumping up and down with joy. "This is one of the BEST photo sets I've ever done!"
I laughed, holding him down by his shoulders, "You can stop jumping now."
He finally did settle down and looked at me, bliss in his eyes, "I need a couple more shots, group shots. With you. Do you think you can do that? What do you say Chloe? A few more great group shots to end the day!?"
I took a step back, surprised at his offer. "Sam, you know I love you and that I'm grateful for you giving me this opportunity but I can't... I-if Mrs. Evans ever found out, I'd have... I would lose my job, and you know this means the world to me. I shouldn't have even let it go on for this long... I truly am sorry, but it's a no Sammy."
Sam shakes his head, not sold yet, "Pfft, who said she'd have to find out?"
"Sam... That's risky-"
Ashton cuts me off, "Come on Chloe! Pleeeeassseee?" He begs, getting down on his knees.
"You won't get in trouble, I promise!" Calum agrees while trying to pull my arm towards him and the set.
"I..."
Michael, Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Sam look at me with heartbroken pleading eyes.
I sighed, "Okay okay."
Their eyes light up and Michael jumps up excitedly as Luke cheers "Yayyyyyy!"
I smiled, despite what I just got myself into.
For the next ten minutes, we all did our group poses, whether it'd be serious pictures or goofy silly ones. The boys decided to gang up on me halfway through the shoot, chasing me around and trying to grab me from behind or trap me in the front. It was really fun and I couldn't stop laughing at all! I as aware of Sam taking his photos but it wasn't really my top priority, I was mainly focused on escaping four boys trying to tackle me! It was a good day and I couldn't have asked for anything better! That is... Until Mrs. Evans walked through the door, her face exploding in fury the moment she saw me playing around with the boys on set.
Everyone in the room froze and I knew I just lost my job...
Sam's the first to realize what just happened and ran to Mrs. Evans, shouting in her face, "WAIT WAIT WAIT! I know you're mad but just look at these photos!" He told her, trying to make her see reason. "And if you're still upset then, you can blame me because I made Chloe be apart of this photo shoot despite her protest. So if you want to fire someone... let that someone be me."
Oh Sam, no!
Mrs. Evan was calmer now, her face was still pink with anger but she seemed to be cooling down. She walked over with Sam and he showed her the recent pictures he took of us. She made little grunting noises of approval as the pictures switched, laughing at some, grinning at others, and frowning at most. Mrs. Evans whispers something into Sam's ear and they talked in hushed voices. I wasn't able to hear what they were saying or read either of their facial expressions so I was more than nervous right now.
Finally the moment of truth...
"I like that one," Mrs. Evan's says, pointing to one picture of me and the boys before walking away without another word.
Once she was our of earshot, I exhaled a breath of air I didn't know I was holding. We all run into a tight group hug, muttering similar stuff as "that was a close call!" I admit, I was tearing up and crying into their arms. I was so close to losing this job and everything I had in mind for my future. I almost messed everything up. From now on... I had to be extremely careful or that's it.
"I'm hungry..." Michael mumbled and Ashton nodded, panting his stomach.
I looked at Sam, "A-are we do-one?" I asked, still getting fresh over my tears.
"Yes! I'm starving!" He chuckles and we all laugh.
"Who's up for Nandos then?" I asked, checking the time and realizing it's been four hours!
Everyone agreed on Nandos and we all decided to leave right away, well after we all got the makeup and everything off of our face. But seriously, I could really use some food right now...
