~Ashton's P.O.V.

I was pretty close to falling asleep when a booming scream and the shattering of glass woke me at once. I sat straight up with wide, dazed eyes.

I immediately looked towards my right and met Michael's similar puzzled look. He must've been well into his slumber because he just shook his head, as if to shake the sleep from his eyes. He seemed to be taking the time to gather the information around him and what was going on by the time Calum -  who was sitting at the opposite side of the room on the hotel chair, phone in hand - got up and ran straight to the bathroom.

"LUKE!" He yelled, trying to barge inside, only to find that the door was locked.

Slowly, the pieces of my memory started to fit in place and the last thing I remembered was Luke telling us that he was gonna take a shower and myself stopping him to give words of encouragement. After that, I went to lie down and didn't realize I began to nap until the disturbance happened.

I quickly followed Calum's lead however, and started to bang on the restroom door. Michael, whom obviously had come to his senses as well, just stood behind us shouting at Luke to open the door.

Luke yelled again and that was when I told Cal and Mike to stand aside as I stepped back and rammed into the door.

It didn't budge.

We must've sounded like a murder scene with all the screaming and pounding, but considered the fact that we had rented a small suite, no one probably heard us anyways. With that said, I tried breaking through the door again but this time, I focused all of my strength onto the left side of my body. On the count of 3, I ran into the door again.

Successful, the door flew open and the three of us ran inside to see what was going on.

Despite the fact that my left arm and shoulder had started to ache, I ignored the pain and tried to assist the situation.

Luke was standing still in the middle of the bathroom. His body was still covered in droplets of water and his towel barely clung to his skin. He was staring at the mirror in front of him, or should I say, the mirror which was now in pieces. Gathering from what evidence there was, he must have chucked his phone at the mirror and thus, shattered it in the process which must've been the sound that I heard earlier. As a result and due to the impact of glass flying everywhere, he had a few cuts across his chest and arms. They were still freshly bleeding and it was definitely a sight for soar eyes to see.

"Luke! LUKE!" Calum cried out and started to shake the poor blonde in an attempt to bring him back to reality, "What the fuck man!"

Luke then shook his head and fell to the floor in a squat. His hands covered his head and he started to violently shake back and forth. Luke was mumbling something to himself but it was too quiet to understand and I had no clue what he was saying.

Luke was actually starting to frighten me.

"Clean up the glass, I'll deal with him," I softly said to my other two bandmates and then proceeded to bend down to Luke's height.

"Hey," I spoke gently, "You're going to be okay Luke, you're going to be okay," I mumbled slowly and placed one of my arms around his and used the other to grasp his right hand. Gradually, I pulled him out of the bathroom, away from the broken glass, and towards the main room.

Settling him down on the bed, he still seemed so far away. "Can you hear me Luke?" I asked lightly but there was no reply.

He finally broke, I thought too myself but I shook my head, not wanting to believe that about him. Clearly though, it must've been about Chloe because he wasn't the type to act out so irrationally unless it involved her and it wasn't hard to see that he was desperately in love with her.

People in love acted crazy... that was what his mother told him before and until today, he didn't realize what she really meant.

Instead of trying to say anything more, I just sat there beside Luke and tried to comfort him because whatever he was going through right now, was a mental fight that I couldn't touch.

I had grabbed a new tower as well, and tried to clean his cuts but by now, his cuts were already beginning to heal.

After what seemed like ages had passed by, Calum and Michael came out of the bathroom. Both of them had dreaded looks on their faces as they walked out.

"We cleaned up as much as we could..." Michael muttered and I just nodded tiredly. I wasn't even sure what time it was right now but hey, Vegas was a city that never sleeps anyways, right?

Cal tapped me on the shoulder then and I looked up at him, "You need to see this..." he whispered awkwardly.

I gave Mike a look to watch over Luke and then followed Cal back into the bathroom. "What's up?" I asked the base player and he pulled out Lucas's phone from his pocket.

"Read the recent messages."

I checked over it slowly, unable to process what I was seeing. "C-Chloe."

Cal just nodded sadly.

There was a picture of Chloe bruised, bloody, and tortured with the captions, this is your fault. It was... hard to look at and as if Ryan thought that that threat wasn't enough, beneath her picture were the words "Mandalay Bay. Don't be late."

I checked the time of the text and sighed, "It was sent 15 minutes ago..."

"This is it, isn't it Ash?" Calum questioned and I felt my gaze get pulled away from the phone towards his grave eyes. "Tonight's the night."

I gave him a dull nod, "...and this is the last fight."

"But Luke's in no shape to fight Ryan," Calum groaned and I just gave a hoarse chuckle.

"No, you don't know Chloe like I do and how much he means to Luke. He'll do anything for her." I shut my eyes tightly, "Even if it meant risking his own life."
