[Rapunzel]
Jack had driven us to the edge of a cliff, well not literally. We were at this picnic area that had a few tables dotted around and a small park, then at the edge of the cliff you could over look the whole town. It was strange seeing a town lit up and lively. Nothing like the one I had grown up in.
After I had gotten out of the car, I strolled right up to the fence and stared down at the town.
"It's weird, I know." Jack said as he stood next to me. He rested his arms against the fence, I glanced up at him, his expression was very blank.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked nervously.

"No." He mumbled. "Just confused Punzel."

"Jack, I'm sorry that I tried avoiding you." I whispered. I would have if I knew it was going to affect him this much. There was a chill in the air now. The adrenaline had worn off an hour ago but we had been in the car so I was warm. I shivered slightly as I thought about what to say next.

"Have my jumper." Jack smiled. Quickly, he pulled off his black jumper before handing it to me. It was so big on me it nearly covered my shorts.

"Thanks." I chuckled. I wrapped my arms around Jack's waist in an attempt to comfort him. After what seemed like a moment of hesitation, he returned my hug and held me in his arms for quite some time.

"I've got some pizza in the car if you'd like some?" He muttered against my head.

"I'd love some." I grinned happily.

So for about half an hour we sat on the front of his car, over looking the town and munching on an extra large pizza. The radio was playing in the background and we stared up at the sky once we had finished our midnight meal.
"Y'know Punz, don't ruin a good day by thinking about a bad yesterday. Let it go. You are in charge of how you feel and you shouldn't let people ruin that." Jack spoke proudly, it's like he has a different side to him other than the cocky trouble maker I met last week.

"You're right."

"I am?" He sounded confused, as if he was expecting me to argue back.

"Today I choose happiness." I stated firmly.

We managed to stay on top of that cliff for four hours and by the time Jack had dropped me home it was three in the morning.
"Good night." I smiled to him. I leaned through his open window and kissed his cheek. "See you at school." Quickly, I ran up the steps to my house and delicately opened the front door, trying to be as quiet as a mouse. As I heard the sound of his car driving away, I finally sighed a deep breath that felt like I had been holding in for hours.

[Jack]
So to be truthful I didn't really have a real reason to take Rapunzel on a midnight drive, the destination was just a picnic place I had taken Emma to when she was younger and I planned to eat the pizza at home. Was the trip worth it? Yes. I got to spend some time with Punzel, squeeze in a few inspiring words and hey the trip was kinda cute.

When I arrived home myself, Emma was fast asleep and the housekeeper had left a note on one of the kitchen counters.

Dear Master Frost,

Whilst you were out, Mr Frost phoned. He and Mrs Frost are staying in Australia for another month due to an unforeseen problem in their business trip. Mr Frost has informed me that he has added some money to your account for essentials and there are to be no parties.

See you tomorrow,

Adriana.

Well great.

I barely slept that night. My mind was whizzing with so many thoughts. My mom and dad couldn't leave Emma and I like this forever. Eventually, I got up after a lot of tossing and turning and began to get ready for school. It was only 5am.

I had a long hot shower before jumping out and getting dressed. By the time I had gotten dressed, Emma was away. She was an early riser.

"What's for breakfast?" She asked as she strolled out of her room.

"How's about you and I got to Aster's diner for breakfast?" I suggested. Emma face lit up at the mention of Aster's diner.

"Hell yeah!" She cheered. Emma ran back into her room to get dressed ready to go for breakfast before school. I'm such a good brother.

Aster was a good friend of my dad's from Australia. He moved here eight years ago when I was ten and opened up a diner. Since then it's been my favorite place to eat and now Emma loves it.

By the time we arrived, it was 6am and the place was just opening.

"Jack mate!" Aster greeted as Emma and I walked in.

"Hey pal!" I smiled as I shook his hand. Quickly, he ruffled Emma's hair which she didn't take to kindly too.

"Where's ya parents?" Aster asked in confusion.

"Where do you think?" Emma snapped.

"Ah." Aster mumbled in realisation. "What can I get you two?" He questioned, pulling out a notepad.

"Two bacon shortstacks and two orange juices please mate." After we ordered, Emma and I sat down at a booth and talked for a little while about school and Emma's ice skating practice.

"Where did you go last night?" Emma mumbled quietly. Suddenly, I stopped munching on my pancakes and stared up at my sister.

"Um, out to meet a friend." I said. She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah, add girl to the front of that." She chuckled.

"Rapunzel is not my girlfriend!"

"So there is a girl!" Emma cheered.

"Yes and no." I muttered quickly.

"Boys are so confusing!" Emma exclaimed.

"So are girls." I chuckled, sticking my tongue out at Emma.
