[Jack]

I punched Flynn so hard, I'm pretty sure I'd broken his nose. Merida was holding onto Rapunzel as if she would crumble away any second and Hiccup was doing a great job at keeping people out of the bathroom.

"Jack, she's unconscious." Merida spoke up nervously. I glanced over at the girls, Rapunzel's cheeks were bright red and tear stained. Her eyes were closed and he chest was rising slowly.

"Let's get her home." I muttered angrily. I scooped up Punzel in my arms and Let Merida and Hiccup lead the way out through the small crowd of people gathering.

Hiccup jumped in the driver seat of my car, Merida slipped in the passenger and I got in the back with Rapunzel. After strapping ourselves in, Hiccup slammed his foot on the pedal and we sped off. Rapunzel stirred next to me and eventually, her eyes opened. She glanced up at me, the look on her face absolutely crushed me. She looked so scared yet relieved that I was there.

"I've got you." I mumbled against her head as I embraced her tightly. Rapunzel sobbed heavily into my chest as we hugged. Merida gave us a sympathetic look from the front.

"That bastard deserves to be locked up." Merida spat.

"He was so drunk though. I heard him mumbling random shit when he was on the floor after Jack punched him." Hiccup said, his eyes fixed on the road.

"You punched him?" Rapunzel spoke up softly.

"Yeah." I replied. "I think I might have broken his nose, and possibly one of my fingers..." I mumbled as I examined them.

Punzie kissed my cheek gently before saying: "That was very brave of you, thank you." She rested her head on my shoulder and then intertwined our hands.

Flynn would pay for this.

[Rapunzel]

It was still early on in the night so we went back to Jack's house. Once I was inside, I darted straight for the toilet as I clearly didn't get to go earlier on. After I had finished washing my hands there was a soft knock on the door.

"Only me." Merida said. I unlocked the door and she stepped in. I could smell the stench of alcohol on her but it was obvious she was coherent.

"What am I going to do Merida?" I croaked. She pulled me into a hug and stoked my back in comfort.

"I don't know lass but we have to deal with Flynn." She said firmly.

"I know..." I sighed heavily.

"Hiccup thought we should call the police but I think Jack has other plans..." Merida trailed off.

"Oh no..." I muttered in realization. Merida nodded slowly, we both knew what Jack was thinking.

The two of us went back downstairs and joined the buys on the couches, they were watching 'Finding Nemo."

"Why are yer watching a kiddies film?" Merida asked in confusion.

"Why not." Jack muttered. He seemed really pissed off. I don't blame him. Merida sat with Hiccup and slouched her legs over his lap and I curled up next to Jack. He sighed softly as I rested against him. "I'm glad you're not hurt, Punz." Jack finally spoke up after about fifteen minutes.

"I don't want to talk about it any more, I just want to be with you

"I don't want to talk about it any more, I just want to be with you." Quietly, I croaked. Jack smirked at me before glancing over at the other too. They were fast asleep. Rapidly, Jack took hold of my hand and lead me up the stairs.

"Where are we going?" I giggled nervously.

"You'll see!" Jack grinned. Instead of staying on that floor, Jack lead me to a new part of his house I hadn't seen before. In one of the guest bedrooms, there was a small spiral staircase that lead up into an attic full of old boxes. It was quite cold up there considering it was the summer. Jack and I weaved around the boxes until we were standing at a large window. He pulled on the handle and pushed open the window which then converted into a small balcony. We stepped forward and leaned on the bars. You could practically see the whole of the street, but that wasn't the best part. "Look up!" Jack instructed. He still had hold of my hand.

I did as I was told and stared up at the sky. Just at the peak of the highest hill, that sat on the outside of town, was the moon shining ever so brightly. It was beautiful.

"Wow..." I gasped.

"Its magnificent isn't it." Jack breathed. He rested his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around me from behind so he had the same view as I did. "I come up here to clear my head when I feel stressed." Jack explained. "And I think about this story that Emma used to tell me all the time, it's about how the moon loved the sun so much, he died every night just to let her breathe. I thought it was so weird but I understand it now."

"Y-you do?" I stuttered.

"Yeah." He smiled at me softly before fulling turning to me. Jack leaned in and kissed me slowly and sweetly. "I should probably get you home soon." Jack sighed against my lips.

"How about no." I smirked. "My mom needs to learn I'm not a fragile flower, I want to stay with you."

"Oh really?" Jack said, his eyebrows raised.

"Yup!" I said, popping the 'p'. "And tomorrow I think we should go for breakfast at Aster's, then we should go to the beach." Rapunzel grinned cheekily.

"Have it your way 'Milady'." I bowed, quoting Hiccup as I had heard him say that to Merida so many times.

"Brilliant." Punzel whispered as she wrapped her arms around my neck. "Absolutely brilliant..." She stood up on her tiptoes and pecked me on the lips.
