Fire (From Crutchie to Wheels Sequel)

Summary of End

Jack goes back to the lodge and stays with Crutchie and Timmy. Crutchie has a makeshift splint on his ankle made out of wood and some cloth. Crutchie sits Timmy down and talks to him about the cuts on his wrists. Timmy is still confused why this is such a big deal. Crutchie explains what they mean and then shows Timmy his own. He points out a few certain ones on his bad leg he gave himself when he was locked in the alley with Les. Some he gave himself when Les died. Some he gave himself for being a crip and having a stutter and for twitching. Timmy finally understands what they mean and when he says that the Delanceys gave them to him he means they actually brought a knife to his skin and cut them. Crutchie goes and explains to Jack.

Timmy needs to reveal his secret about being the boy who stole bread last year. Crutchie got hurt because of him so he feels bad. He reveals his secret and the boys accept him. The lodge in manhatten never gets rebuilt so they all permanently live in brooklyn. Crutchie's ankle never heals so its extra limpy and it hurts him all of the time. He becomes extra depressed and finally commits suicide. They hold a funeral just like Les's and Jack becomes depressed. Timmy thought it was his fault but after a while he lesrns the truth. It takes Jack 9 months to get out of his depression. It is always a sensitive topic for him to talk about.
