"Open the gates!" Was the first thing I heard as I was walking to go visit Janggo on the outer rim of the city, he made no progression in his recovery so far. Kanon looked in the direction of the gate, "You can go see who it is, I'll be fine," I told him before he said anything. He nodded and headed of in the direction of the gates as I entered the building.

"Janggo? Are you awake?" I called out. Hoarse talk was my reply. "Where the hell are you kid?" He looked worse. He was awake sure, but it was like he was shriveling up. "Did they find out what happened to you?" I asked as I knelt at his side. He chuckled, "Drachen mages fucking suck.", I winced at his reply, "Can you at least tone it down on the cursing? I don't feel comfortable with it." He sat up a bit, "Lost your taste for vulgarity already?"

I shook my head, "You have no idea what I've been through to get here, people hunting me left and right to make a trophy, nightmares every night, and-....no reply from Faylinn." He smirked at her name. "I miss that little bitch." he started laughing harder as I glared at him. "And I would very much appreciate if you wouldn't call my sister a bitch. I'll still kick your ass, even if you're injured."

He was almost wheezing by the time I got that sentence out, "You're still a kid inside aren't ya?" I rolled my eyes, "Why did you come here, besides the fact that you were just traveling after you left me to die in Wyngerian territory." He slumped a little "Wyngeria's gone silent. There's been no signs of activity for a few weeks since I came this way. My sources told me that the place is empty. There's two possibilities for that."

A healer came into the room, notifying me that I had around five minutes before visiting times were over. Janggo pulled me close by my casual shirt, "They're coming, and they bring war with them. Drachen and Maekalythia had a short truce for the travel here. Someone broke it and they're coming for assistance in the war against each other."

My stomach did a flip, the gates! I ran out, asking the healer to help him recover and make him ready for battle as fast as possible. Kanon appeared grabbed my arm to hurry me to the palace, "We have to tell your father! We have two armies at our doorstep!" He yelled as he hoisted me onto his back.

Tsubasa had been speaking to his top strategists when I walked into the war room, "The ledges are a benefit to us, most mounted fighters won't be able to reach us, we can have our archers fire from there with a few footmen to defend them from their pegasus fighters." I took a look at the map they were placing icons over. "You're leaving the river open." I said quietly.

The strategists looked my way, "It's out of the line of sight, no one will think of it." I take a small huff, forcing myself to be patient. "She will, I'll defend there. If you would have my position change, you signal me."

I look at father, who had two katanas at either side of his waist and a larger one on his back. "Reflet, are you really going to discuss tactics with the strategists?" I waved my hand, "I may be shit at fighting, but I studied strategy in Wyngeria and my time with war prisoners in Drachen, trust me, this is a game to me." He nodded and walked to prepare the defenses.

"Listen kid, we don't like being told how to do our job. So you can put on your play armor if it makes you feel better and join your brother on the front lines." The head strategist sharply put. "You know, I hate going by this term because I want to seem as an equal to everyone. But the correct way to address me is by the term 'my lord' got it? I don't need some hotshot thinking he knows what the horrors of war are telling me what to do when he is too scared to take a step outside. So when you learn to grow a pair and you're ready to watch loved ones die, then you can call me a child."
