Alana

Since the Victoria incident things between Elijah and I had been less dramatic, which allowed us to enjoy our time together as newlyweds.

"I think we should wait to find out the sex of the babies." Elijah said sitting at the breakfast bar in the kitchen.

"I like that idea babe." I smiled and finished cooking us breakfast. After breakfast I left for a photoshoot that I had scheduled for the day.

"Alanna can I talk to you in my office for a second?" my boss Mr. Peterson asked as I was headed to my office to get another lens, I followed him to his office and sat in the chair across from his desk

"First I want to say that you are one of the best photographers that I've seen in my time as editor of this magazine. Your work ethic and eye for beauty is one I have never seen before, which makes this really hard for me to do. Unfortunately the magazine is being bought out by a major publishing company and we have to let some people go. I'm sorry to say but you are one of the people that we have to let go. I really tried hard for the higher ups to choose someone else. If you ever need a recommendation I would gladly give you one." I sat there shocked that he would compliment my work before firing me as if it'd make me feel better. I kept my head high and shook his hand thanking him then started packing up my office. I didn't have much because I did most of my work at home but it was heartbreaking to see my empty office and think about all the memories that'd been made there.

"You're home really early. What happened?" Elijah said when I walked into the house, he'd been stalking on the phone when I walked in put hung up when he saw the look on my face.  He took the box out of my hands then set it down and then joined him on the couch.

"The magazine is being bought out by a major publishing company and they had to let some people go, unfortunately I was one of them." Finally coming to terms with the fact that I'd lost my dream job made the tears that I was holding in fall.

"Don't cry, you'll find another job." Elijah said pulling me into his arms.

"What if I don't? I loved and worked extremely hard for that job. We're going to be taking care of two babies soon."

"I know baby, trust me when I say I have enough saved up to last us for a long time if you decided to stop working completely. But I know how much you love working, so I am confident that you'll find another job that you will love even more. I do have some good news that might make you feel better."

"Really?"

"The Atlanta United want me to come play with them next season and I decided to take their offer."

"I thought you loved playing in London?"

"I did, but I know that I have to be here with you and I wouldn't want you to move half way across the world away from your family and friends. Especially when you'll be heavily pregnant when soccer season starts again.  I also don't want to miss out on anything that happens with the babies and where ever you are, is where I want to be."

"That's so sweet of you babe. Thank you for being so considerate."

"We're married, so there has to be some give and take along with a few sacrifices. I'll still be doing the thing I love an still able to come home to you and our children everyday.
