When Dallon got back to the apartment he half expected to see all of his stuff piled outside his room. Duckie cautiously trailed into the room, he had joined so they could both get the secrets off of their chests. Ryan was sitting on the couch, slightly intoxicated but, he appeared sober enough to handle a conversation.
"Ry, can we talk?" Dallon asked quietly, not wanting to upset the sensitive man.
"What's there to talk about, unless the two of you are coming out." Ryan played idly with a bottle of beer.
"Ryan we aren't dating. There's something very serious we have been doing and I think it's time you knew about it." Dallon took the empty bottle from his roommate and set it down on the coffee table, before sitting down on the couch across from him.
Duckie nervously sat down beside the taller, folding and unfolding his hands in his lap.
"I'm listening." Ryan states with a very unamused tone in his voice, Dallon sighs and sits up, straightening up getting ready to spill everything.
"Well, a few weeks ago, I had went out for my patrol, and you know also going out for a run. I had to take a break like twenty minutes into my run, I stopped in front of this one house, I had felt there was someone watching me. And I was right, in that house, the second floor, there was this boy staring at me, and he looked like he had never seen another person in his life. He was Also really really dirty, like he hadn't taken a shower in a while, so that night when we went to the precinct with Duckie... I um.. Found out that he was a kid who has been missing since the early nineties, so y'know, I decided to do some investigating of my own, and I told Duckie 'cause if I told you, you'd freak." Dallon exclaims, and it's like he only took two large breaths to say everything that happened, he continued to tell what had been going on and once he was done he was almost in tears because he felt so guilty keeping that information from his best friend.
"Well, you aren't wrong about me freaking out if you stole police files but, I'm just a bit upset that my best friend couldn't trust me." Ryan said this with a monotone voice it was hard for Dallon or Duckie to read. That didn't make them feel any less guilty about it so Duckie opens his mouth to speak, "And we are really sorry about that."
Ryan chuckles, "A sorry isn't going to help but..."
"We'll do anything Ry, I just don't want us to be on bad terms-"
"Okay, okay, don't start crying on me, Dallon. Just- just let me work on the case." That surprised the two sorry gentlemen but they didn't say anything.
Ryan chuckles and it sets the two men off, "What's so funny?" His friend ask timidly afraid that he'll best friend off. "It's just really funny how submissive you can be when you're scared. Just..." Ryan sighs and rolls his eyes, "stop giving me that guilty look because you are quote forgiven unquote only if you would let me join this case." Dallon opens his mouth to protest but Duckie slaps his arm.
"Okay, you can join the case." Duckie says and smiles the corner of his lips twitching because he is still a bit nervous Ryan will say or do something that will scare the crap out of him.
The man smiles at his friends and claps his hands in excitement and hugs the Dallon, pulling Duckie in the hug as well with his one free hand, "Group hug." He states happily and Dallon isn't sure if it's Ryan or the alcohol talking. But he just goes along with it and pats his back.

Dallon is stuck at a crossroads, both Duckie and Ryan want to go into Mr. Harrison's house to see what is going on in there, they got the warrant, not without pulling a few strings from the precinct captain. His name was Pete, and the head judge named Gabriel, but, they got the search warrant and that was all that mattered. The dilemma was that Mr. Harrison would see them come into his house and then freak out because he gave Dallon and Duckie a false address and who knows how Mr. Harrison would act. Ryan volunteered and so did Duckie strictly ordering that Dallon had to stay in the car. So, Dallon was useless in this situation. "Rock-Paper-Scissors to see who gets to go into the creepy house." Duckie states confidently and Ryan smirks at him.
