Music blasted through my ears making me jerk up and fall off the bed. I look around, panicking, and see Emily rolling on the floor in tears. I narrowed my eyes.

"You're an asshole!" I laugh, throwing a pillow at her.

"You should've seen your face!" She wiped a tear.

"You could've just shaken me awake, you know. What time is it?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"I know I could've, but I thought this would be more fun. Believe it was a lot more fun, and it's 3PM. I gave you more than enough time to sleep!" She helped me off the floor and she pushed me towards her vanity mirror and shoved me into her chair. She got out all her make-up, which was like a lot, and began applying all this junk on my face.

After 30 minutes of plucking, eye poking, and my face being practically brushed on, my make-up was finally done.

"Can I see my face yet?" I whined.

"Nope! Not until your hair's done." She smiled brightly.

I groaned, this was going to take forever. I wonder what Oliver will think of me when he sees me. Probably nothing since I'm not too pretty in his eyes, or anyone elses for that matter. Hell, he'll most likely have a girl at his side the whole time. Honestly, I don't think there's a point in me getting dressed up or even going, but Emily insists on me going along and I don't want to upset her.

An hour has passed now, how long does it take to do someones hair?

"Can I see nooww?" I asked impatiently.

"Yes you can, grumpy." Emily turned me around and my eyes went wide and my jaw dropped. Who the fuck was staring back at me? This is clearly not me.

She sure the hell did a good job, my face didn't look caked on like most girls did. Emily did a smokey eye with perfect winged eye liner, foundation, natural blush, and dark crimson lipstick. My hair was in loose black waves, I actually looked decent for once.

"Wow Emily, you did great! Thank you." I jumped up and hugged her.

"Don't thank me!" She smiled and hugged me back.

I went to put on my outfit for tonight. Emily's phone vibrated.

"Want me to check it?" I called to her.

"Yes, what's it say?" The message was from Oliver..

"Um it's from Oliver. He's asking if you and I want to walk with him to Matt's together." I said nervously.

She turned around and looked at me, "Do you want to?"

"Yeah, kind of." I looked down at the floor.

"Then tell him yes!" She smiled and turned back around.

Emily and I walked towards Oliver's, we saw him waiting outside. He was scrolling through his phone, so he didn't notice us at first.

"Hey Oli!" Emily waved.

"Oh hey Emily, hey Amand--" he finally looked up, his eyes got wide once he saw me.

"What? Is there something wrong with me?" I looked down at my outfit.

"Definitely not. You uh, you just look really good is all." He looked down at his feet, blushing a little.

Emily and I looked at each other with huge grins, "Well, thank you."

"Shall we get going?" Emily asked.

"Yes." Oliver and I said at the same time quickly.

The walk to Matt's house was a quiet one, no one really said much. I'm really nervous about this party. What if something bad happens? What if a drunk pervert tries getting with me again? I think I might just back out on this, but I don't want to seem like a wuss. Ugh.
