KIA's POV
On the way back home i kept thinking about my conversation with Jaden, especially the
news. All of it was just too much to take in. He was coming back, no doubt i was happy about it but then it's been 5 years and so much has changed since then.
When i was sure I couldn't think more without having a headache i removed my guitar and started playing the chords of 'Amazing Grace' by Chris Tomlin. It was one of my favourite songs and it was extremely relaxing. Music was the best distraction i could find apart from reading & writing.
🎶 " My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace"🎶
As I completed the chorus i heard someone applauding. I looked up and found my sister grinning.
Stacy:"That was amazing."
Kia:" Yes that was amazing...grace." I replied giving her a wink.
She laughed and shook her head.
Stacy:" You're impossible."
Kia:" Pretty much. But you know what is possible?"
Stacy:" Uhh..no"
Kia:" A movie marathon. I planned one on my last exam because it had been so long but you were 'busy' so.."
She sat down beside me and said,
Stacy:" I'm so sorry Ki, we will surely have one tonight."
Kia:" Good."
She got up to leave but paused at my door,
Stacy:" Kia"
Kia:" Ya?"
Stacy:" I promise to make more time for you."
Kia:" Thank you Stace."
My favourite kind of people are the ones with whom i can joke around as well as have a deep conversation. Stacy was one such person for me and so was he....i sighed.
I got up and put my guitar back in its place. I went down to the kitchen to prepare for our movie marathon and once i finished placing enough food and drinks on the table, selecting few good movies and making the couch comfortable with comforters and extra cushions i called out to Stacy.
Kia:" Stacy come down, everything is ready."
No reply. I called again. Still no reply.
Kia:" STACY COLLINS, if you don't get off the phone with dear Eric I promise i will take your phone and make sure you don't see it again."
Stacy:" I'll be there in 5 calm your horses lady."
Kia:" If you don't then I'll start the movie and watch it myself."
