Genos was having a pretty calm day up until the screaming started.

He immediately turned his attention to the direction of the noise and found a girl with (h/c) hair running down the street. You had a panicked look on your face which he was confused by. That's when the monster behind you answered the question to his thoughts.

You were right about to speed past him when the cyborg grabbed your arm, yanking you to a halt. With his other hand, he aimed and obliterated the monster with an inferno of fire. The creature roared in pain only to be struck again with the same intensity of flames. Slowly, its skin deteriorated and the monster turned to ash and bone.

"Are you alright?" Genos looked to you as calmly as could be. He was surprised to find a pair of beautiful (e/c) eyes gazing at him in amazement.

"Oh yes, thank you," You grinned. "I didn't know how long I could keep running for a second there."

Genos furrowed his eyebrows. You were shockingly content for someone who was almost attacked by a strange creature. He ignored that though when he saw the various bruises and scratches scattered on your skin. "Are you sure you're okay? You don't need any medical attention?"

"Nah, I'm fine. Just a few nicks here and there," You waved him off. "Well, thanks again!" Before he knew it, you were strutting down the sidewalk.

"Wait!" Genos called out. "What's your name?"

You abruptly stopped. Then, you turned around just as the wind picked up and flowed through your hair. "It's (y/n)," You smiled happily. Genos didn't know if it was a trick of the light, but everything seemed to fade out and the only thing he saw was your smiling face.

The Next Day

Again, he ran into you. Only this time, you were a few seconds away from being crushed by a falling beam.

And it was totally by chance that he managed to see the thing in time.

You were too distracted by something across the street to hear the 'chink' of iron striking iron and the metal beam falling out the loop holding it. Genos instantly took off and shoved both of you out of the way as the iron clattered like a bell on the ground. The force of his body slamming into yours caught you off guard and sent you both rolling into the street. You yelped as the back of your head smacked hard into asphalt.

"Oww...." You grimaced.

"Are you alright?" Genos questioned. He had landed on top of you and was checking you for any damage.

"Uhuh," You winced. You looked up and saw those two golden eyes staring at you. "Wait, I know you...you're that guy from the yesterday."

Genos's sensors rang in his mind as they warned him of danger. He glanced up and saw a car speeding down road. "Look out!" He yelled as he pulled you to his chest and rolled you both onto the sidewalk. He had done so just in time too because the car was already swerving into the next street.

The cyborg looked back at you and realized that he was a lot closer to you than before. He was propped up onto his elbows a few inches from your face but you didn't seem to mind.

"Who are you?" You questioned.

"I'm Genos," He responded, his core still on high alert after two dangerous incidents.

"Okay, well thank you for your help, Genos. Um....can you get off me now?"

"Oh yeah, sure."

You both stood up and dusted yourselves off. Genos was still amazed by the back to back accidents that occurred within seconds from each other.
