"Genos, are you okay?" You asked as you drank your hot chocolate from across the table.

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"I didn't think you were self conscious but you do realize you've been tugging at your hair for the past 30 minutes, right?"

"Oh." The cyborg subtracted his hand from hair and laid flat on the table. He didn't notice he was doing that.

"So what's wrong? Something up with your hair?" You questioned.

"I've been wondering....is my hair too long?" He asked with those large golden puppy eyes. You pushed back the flutter in your heart and focused back on his question.

It was definitely strange hearing Genos talking about appearance. He didn't seem like the type to care about looks. He hardly ever glanced your way even when you decided to put on a bit of make-up. Honestly, it was frustrating living with the guy you liked and he never laid eyes on you.

"Your hair's fine. Why are you so worried about it?" You replied kindly.

"Dr. Kuseno made a comment today that caught my attention."

You raised an eyebrow. "And that was?"

"He said cutting my hair might increase my performance as it impairs my vision during battle. However, he hasn't had time to enact on the idea," Genos said, unconsciously going back to touching his hair.

You opened your mouth to suggest he go to a salon when a better thought came to your head. "Hey! I could cut it for you!" You smiled brightly, practically jumping out of your seat.

Genos blinked. "You know how?"

"I took an elective class in high school. I know a bit of the beautician ways."

The corner of the cyborg's mouth twitched into a small smile. "That would be much appreciated."

"Sure thing! But it'd be smarter if we did it now since I'm not sure Saitama would like us making a mess." You glanced at your watch to count the minutes. "He said he was going to the store maybe 10 minutes ago so I think we still have time."

Genos stood up with a much more enthusiastic attitude. "Alright then let's get started."

You pulled up one of the chairs from the table and set it up in the kitchen. You then grabbed a towel from the bathroom to use as a cover and a pair of scissors. You instructed Genos to go wet his hair before hand and came back to find him sitting calmly in the chair.

Your nerves got the best of you as you saw how sexy he looked with his damp hair. But Dr. Kuseno was right, you noted why the length of his hair could be a problem.

"You weren't lying, your hair is really long," You mused, shyly feeling a wet strand.

"That's why I want to get rid of it." He nodded.

"Like.....all of it?" You questioned, wide eyed.

"No, just enough me to see clearly."

"Okay, well how do you want it? I can give you shorter bangs or maybe even stylize it off to the side...." You stooped down in front of him to get a better image of a solution. You messed around with his hair as you did so, running your fingers through his extremely soft golden locks.

However, you were so fixated on staying on task that you didn't notice Genos looking at you. The cyborg would never admit to anyone, much less you, but he had a growing crush on you. You were friends with Saitama long before he ever met him and learned that you had been living with the hero-for-fun for almost 4 years. He grew closer to you when he moved in as well and found that you were an incredibly bright and funny person. Saitama always kidded that you were the warmth that lit up the place, and Genos strongly believed that. Your presence alone made him happy.
