"Oh god, (y/n), that's horrible..." Saitama looked at you with a sympathetic gaze as you concluded the horrors of these past months. "I-I'm so sorry I never noticed. I just never expected—"

"I don't think anyone did; I sure didn't," You said quietly. "I....I don't know what to do from here...."

"Well, the best you can do is go back to a normal life as possible," Saitama suggested. "I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but I'll be there to help you."

"This all seems so surreal," You sighed. "I'm not dreaming right?" But then again if you were, how was that possible? The drugs Genos would give you knocked you out enough that you were in between the state of drowsy and deep slumber. You never got a decent night's sleep, you never got to dream. There was no escape for you.

"You're awake, this is real," Saitama said before you could hyperventilate. "You're going to be okay."

You blinked back tears and sniffed. "I really hope so."

Just then, there was a small knock at the door. After making their presence known they opened the door without hesitation. You were stunned to see who it was.

"Y-yami?" You stuttered in disbelief.

"Aunt (y/n)!" The little girl ran up to your bed with a bright smile on her face. She reached out her arms for you to pick her up and you mechanically responded.

"Hey..." Zara greeted sadly as she entered. Her eyes were slightly red as if she had been crying.

Once she got to your bedside, she let out a sob and wrapped her arms around you. "Oh my god," Zara cried quietly. "Thank God you're alright."

"I'm sorry." You returned her embrace with tearful eyes.

"That goddamn bastard I'm going to kill him," She said angrily. "I've missed you so much. I got so worried when you would call less frequently, but Genos would always have some excuse ready."

Zara suddenly pulled away not wanting to alarm the small child. She wiped away her tears and gave your hand a squeeze. "I'm just really glad you're okay."

"What's wrong, Aunt (y/n)? Are you sick?" Yami asked you with big curious eyes.

"Yeah, but I'm getting better." You gave her a weak smile. "Don't worry, honey."

"Where's Uncle Genos?"

A shudder a fear flowed through your body as you tried to come up with something to say. Luckily, you didn't have to.

"He's out on mission," Saitama replied.

"So Yami," You said, quickly trying to steer the conversation somewhere else. "You've gotten so big! Wow, it's almost like yesterday you were only toddler."

In truth, she had grown. You noticed there was a slight height difference but Yami was still pretty small for her age. "I called you for my birthday! We had cake and everything but Uncle Genos said you couldn't go 'cause you were sick," Yami dejected.

"She's six now," Zara informed.

"W-wow, really?" You couldn't hide the tears falling from your face. "You've really grown...." You had missed so much in these past few months; it made you think what else were you completely oblivious about. It felt like you had died and had come back to find the world had changed so drastically.

Your life had been stolen from you during that time.

You opened your mouth to speak but the only thing that came out were the tears. You covered your face as you saw how the little girl stared at you with such sorrow. You wanted to tell Zara to leave you be for a moment but you were afraid your voice my crack and scare Yami even more.
