"What?" You insinuated your tone in disbelief.

"I know what I'm asking is difficult—"

"Difficult? Saitama, you're asking me to have a common chat with a man who drugged me for months!" You yelled exasperated. You could feel your body tensing and tears forming.

"I know, I know! But please understand that this isn't entirely his fault. There was an irregularity in his systems that made him go haywire," Saitama reasoned.

"And who's to say that's fixed?" You countered.

"Dr. Kuseno took care of it."

But you continued to shake your head. "I can't. I'm sorry. I just can't."

"You can't be scared for the rest of your life, (y/n)!" Saitama surprised you with his stern voice, but he replaced it with a sigh. "Look, it's hard, I get that. But maybe that's what you need: Closure. You need to see his side of what happened and what he thinks of it all."

"And then what?" You asked weakly.

"And then you decide. You can forgive and forget, or you can accept that it happened and move on. Either way, I really believe this talk can do you some good."

"I'm scared, Saitama," You admitted, casting your gaze down. "I'm really scared."

"I know and this won't be easy, but it will be for the best. For both of you." He squeezed your shoulder comfortingly and then pulled you in for a quick hug.

"Will you be there?" You asked.

"I think it's better I'm not in the room, but I will be in the next one in case anything happens. If you feel threatened or afraid in anyway, you can just give me a shout and I'll be there in the wink of an eye," Saitama reassured.

You nodded softly into his shoulder. "When and where does he want to meet?"

"Uhh....that's the thing...he's already here," The bald hero replied nervously.

You immediately knocked away his hands and stared at him wide-eyed. "What!?"

"He's outside the door. He's waiting on my okay to invite him in." Saitama raised his hands in defense.

"And what were you going to do if I said no!?"

"Tell him to go away," He shrugged. "I honestly didn't think you'd agree to this."

"Oh god, does he want to talk now?" You started to hyperventilate. "Zara might be home any second—"

"I'll stand outside if she does. I'll talk to her and let her know you guys are discussing things."

You stood quiet and crossed your arms. "......am I going to be able to do this?" You questioned yourself aloud. "I.....I don't know what to do....."

"Then don't do anything. Let Genos do the talking. I mean, he is the one who wanted to do it in the first place," Saitama said.

You nodded silently. "Okay."

"Alright, so are you ready?" He asked, going to the front door and circling his hand on the knob.

You stared at the one large object separating you from what awaited you on the other side. You outlined every single curve and line on the decorative frame to distract yourself from the anxiety building up in your chest. You glanced at Saitama, wanting run and hide at that second, but instead you nodded.

You felt the urge to throw up as the door slowly stood ajar....
