I left soon after Will had been calmed down, I didn't want to hang around for the aftermath. I just hoped that they would be understanding and wouldn't give him a hard time.

Andrea's house was already wild by the time we got there, the after parties always were crazy if we won. I parked up and Emma practically ran into the party, excited to 'get her drink on'.

"She's mental" Pan laughed, watching after her as she hurried in.

"Wouldn't have her any other way though" I smiled fondly. She was my crazy best friend.

"No, not at all" he said with a certain, meaningful smile on his face. Why wouldn't they just admit their feelings for one another? Emma ran back over to us and grabbed Pan's wheelchair, wheeling him in faster. Seriously? They were so cute it made me sick.

The party was loud and rowdy and there was barely any room to move around in there. It was hot and stuffy and people kept banging into me. I looked for Emma and Pan but they were nowhere in sight.

I briefly saw Sutton and her minions who waved at me. Sutton hadn't properly spoken to me nice the incident, but she wasn't ignoring me either. It was nice to not be constantly bothered by her.

I searched the house until I thought I was going to collapse and I just couldn't be bothered any more. I grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler in the kitchen and took the only available seat in the whole house, the stairs.

"Only losers and couples making out sit on the stairs" I heard a familiar voice tell me "So which are we going to be?" Will asked as he sat down next to me.

"Well, we're certainly not a couple" I scoffed, taking a long sip of the cool water, letting it refresh my warm body.

"We could still make out?" he offered, shooting me a smirk.

"My lips have been on you enough for one day, thank you very much" I turned my head away from him.

"I think my plan worked by the way" he said, as if I knew of the plan he was referring to.

"Sorry, what plan?" I turned to look at him like he was crazy. Maybe he really had lost the plot.

"My plan to make Riley jealous so he'll want you even more. Everyone saw you kiss me. I bet he even asked you about it" he said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"He may have" I mumbled, not wanting to feed his ego and let him know he was right.

"He even turned Sutton away after you left the school to come here. Her face was a picture" he chuckled, remembering.

"You expect me to believe that that was your plan all along and not just some evil plot to take advantage of my loyalty to the school's reputation" I rolled my eyes.

"I'm that diabolical Lucky" he said, almost proudly.

"Yes you are" I shook my head in disbelief before taking another long drink of water. He took the bottle from my hand and finished it. "Yeah, sure, you can drink my water" I wanted to hit him upside the head.

"Sharing is caring Lucky."

We were silent for a short while before I couldn't take it any more and I had to ask the questions that were burning at the end of my tongue.

"So back there, when you went all Jackie Chan, what exactly was that all about?" I asked tentatively, afraid that I might offend him or make him uncomfortable.

"I prefer to think of myself as more of a Vin Diesel, he has more appeal with the ladies" he announced avoiding my question. I gave him an 'Are you serious?' look before he sighed and conceded. "Well, I learnt to defend myself at military school and I don't like small spaces" he said plainly.
