Sam was pulled away from us by the police to go with them and tell them what happened.

When Jack heard that Mark was still missing his face dropped. His emotions all flooded out. Anger, sadness, fear. Then he just collapsed to the ground on his knees and cried.

All I could do was kneel next to him as he wept. I was tearing up too. But I didn't want to say anything.

I just gave him a kiss on the cheek before police called me over.

"Hello I am Officer Dunham. Ma'am we understand that you know Mark and Sam here." Dunham said
"Yes. Sam is my best friend and Mark is a good friend, sir."
"Alright. Do you know this man in the police car?" The officer said
"Yes. Yes I do."
"How do you know him? And has he done anything like this before?"
"He is my ex. An abusive ex if anything. He would hit me." I said
"Okay. I am sorry for that. You can go home. We will continue to look for Kelly and Mark."
"No due disrespect, sir. But I feel that me, Sam, and my boyfriend over there, Jack, should be part of the investigation. Because this is on a personal level."
"Well I will talk about it with Chief Gordon. See you soon."
