Chapter 8: First love

[Lucy P.O.V]

I got ready, and explored the demon's dimension. I tried to search for a library, but there were none.

"Man, this dimension is really boring." I thought out loud.

"Oh really. Then how about I show you something."

I turned around and saw Natsu leaning on a wall.

"Really?"

"Yeah." I rubbed the back of my head. "Um..."

"Hm?"

"Sor- sorry about yesterday.."

"You're not forgiven."

"What. Why?"

"If what you show me will amaze me, then I'll forgive you."

"It sure will." He confidently replied.

I followed him as he took me down to the basement.

"What is this?" I asked.

"My secret lair."

"Secret lair?"

"Yup." Natsu said, and pushed a brick. The walls parted and left an entrance for us. We entered, and I was pretty amazed. It's not as big as the Angel Dimension, but it's decent. There were book shelves stuffed with books and records.

"Natsu this is outstanding. You're forgiven." I looked at him.

"I knew you'd like it." Natsu smiled. "You're the first person that I showed this to."

"Why me?"

"I-- I dont know... just felt like I needed to show my lair to someone." Natsu scratched his cheek.

"Oh." I looked away. I walked around and spotted a picture. It looked like it was a picture of a tiny Natsu standing next to his parents. A baby girl that had one blue strand of hair was held in their mother's arms.

"What are you looking at Lucy?"

"Your so adorable in this picture Natsu."

"Let me see--- Oh that. Yeah, I really love my family." Natsu looked at it with sadness in his eyes. I tried not to ask any questions, but my curiosity beat me.

"Where are your parents?"

"... they passed away when I was young."

"Oh. Im sorry for your parents' death." I looked down.

"Its alright. It's been so long since they passed away."

"What about this girl?"

"She's my sister." Natsu quieted down.

"Where is she?"

"She disappeared. I don't know if she's just in another place, or if she was... Killed."

"Oh... Sorry..."

"Stop apologizing. I chose to tell you about my family, so no need to feel bad." Natsu paused. "What about your parents?"

"Both passed away."

"Any siblings?"

"No, im the only child."

"I guess we're both alone."

"Yup."

Silent...

"Well, uh, imma go and check out some books and records." I said.

"Okay. Feel free to ask me any questions."

I looked around and saw a book that caught my eye. I grabbed it and opened the book.

"Family records." The title said.

I flipped through the pages and spotted a woman. That's the same person who appeared in the hologram. I read the whole page, curious on who the woman was.

It read, "Layla Heartfilia, the queen of the Angels. Jude Heartfillia, the king of the Demons. There daughter, Lucy Heartfilia, the heiress of the Angel crown." I dropped the book. This is me. This was me when I was little. I'm a Heartfilia? Is that my last name?!

I backed up from the book. If Natsu is a demon, but Jude the king of demons married Layla, and I'm their child. What are Natsu's parents real identity?

I ran out of the lair passed Natsu.

"Lucy where are you going!" Natsu yelled.

I kept running and running, but I bumped into Jellal.

"Woah, Lucy. Calm down."

"Is the... teleport machine fixed.... yet." I said, running out of breathe.

"Yes, it is."

"Im going... Home."

I ran passed Jellal and headed toward the machine. I pressed random buttons and it made a random noise. My vision started blur.

Bye Natsu.

[Natsu P.O.V]

I saw Lucy run, but she wouldnt stop. I walked over to the spot where she was reading and saw a book on the floor. I picked it up and read it.

"Lucy Heartfilia..." I mumbled. I read it over and over again. Budump. "The name... again. Its like my brain is trying to pick up something. I touched the child Lucy in the picture.

[Flashback]

*Sniff* *Sniff*

"Hey. Is something wrong?"

I looked to the left toward the voice, and saw a blonde hair girl.

"M-- my parents left me."

"Its alright. My parents did too."

"Real-- really?"

"Mhm. I always try to act cheerful for my parents. It was there last wish."

"My parents'... Too."

"Cool! Lets both act cheerful. K?"

"Ok!"

"By the way whats your name?"

"My name is Natsu Dragneel!"

"Your last name is like a dragon's name." The girl chuckled. "Oh yeah, my name is Lucy Heartfilia."

"What a beautiful name, like an angel."

"Hehe thanks."

[Flashblack end]

Without wasting any more time. I ran out of my lair and chased after Lucy. I saw Jellal and asked, "Wheres Lucy!?"

"She left."

"What?!" I panted.

"Natsu are you alright?"

"No. No, im not. I found her again, but now I lost her again too. My first... Love." I slid to the ground and clenched my hands.

"What are you talking about?"

"She was the girl we played with when we were children."

I saw Jellal's eyes widen.

"Jellal, it's Lucy... Hearfilia."
