Chapter 12: Adoptive mother

[Lissana P.O.V]

"LAYLA??!" Everyone yelled in unison. The queen chuckled.

"Have you been taking care of Lucy?" The queen asked.

"Well... She is currently at Earthland." Erza replied.

"Oh yes. I forgot about that. I knew that this day would come."

"What do you mean Queen?" I finally spoke.

"Its Layla, dear. And... C'mere."

I walked over to the Que- I mean Layla and she smiled. I smiled back. She placed her hand over my forehead. "Oh. You haven't recovered your memory yet."

"What? Memories? I havent forgotton about anything." I backed away surprised.

"Then remember about this?" Layla pointed at the picture I dropped.

"No. Thats not even me."

"It is you." She pointed at the white haired girl.

"..."

"And Lucy, is the one thats standing next to you." Layla smiled at the pic.

"T-that is imposs-"

[Flashback]

"Lissana!"

I turned around, and saw Lucy carrying a book.

"What have you got there, Lucy?"

"Levy showed me this book about fairies!" Lucy smiled.

"Really?! Can I see?"

"Of course. You're my sister after all!" Lucy gave me the book. I read it and was amazed.

"Lucy, this that's so cool!"

"I know right." She giggled.

[Flashblack]

"M- mom..?" I looked at Layla.

"Yes, but theres something I have to tell you Lissana."

"What?"

"Im not... your blood related mother."

"Wait what? You adopted me?"

Layla nodded. I fell to the floor out of shock. I can't feel my legs...

"Lissana!" Erza and Levy came to comfort me.

"I- im alright guys." I assured them. They stood up and helped me stand. "Thanks guys." The girls smiled.

"So that explains why the ring didn't react to Lissana." Jellal spoke.

"Im sorry Lissana. I wanted to tell you sooner but I didn't know when..."

"It doesn't really matter now..." Lissana replied. "But it was good to know that I had parents."

Layla smiled. "Now that I have told the things I wanted to tell Lissana. We need to go and get Lucy."

"Is something wrong Queen?" Erza asked.

"Yes. I feel a weird and powerful aura in Earthland, and I have a feeling Lucy may be attacked."

I looked around and there was no sign of pink hair. "Wheres Natsu?"

"He left before us. C'mon guys, lets go." Erza ran toward the teleporter.

"Alright!"

[Layla P.O.V]

I watched as the group teleported away.

I hope they'll be alright. Please protect my little angel, Natsu.
