"Tell me, sweet sister from another mother of mine, when did you and Jasper start getting freaky in bed?" Adri said as soon as I entered her house. I had gone straight from Lily's place to Adri's the next morning before school, because I didn't quite feel like waiting apprehensively to face her during the day in school.

"We've been talking for a while now, mostly texting," I began to say more but Adri cut me off, her eyes narrowing.

"When did you and my brother start talking again?" I thanked every deity for texting Jasper earlier today on what to say about the events that lead to us dating, so that both our stories would match.

"We saw each other at one of those parties you dragged me to, we were bored out of our minds and just gave each other good company. We kept in touch after that," I drawled before cringing inwardly.

I'm starting to sound like Jasper now.

"Whose party?" she pressed and I rolled my eyes.

"Kerry's. Now can we stop with the interrogation? We're going to be late for school," Adri huffed, annoyed that my relationship with Jasper seemed to make sense.

"So were you cheating on Sam?" she asked viciously and my eyes widened.

"Of course not, we only talked as friends until lately when we became more than just friends," I answered placidly. Adri let out another huff as she picked up her school bag.

"You hurt him, and our friendship is over," she hissed threateningly before stalking out of the room. I rolled my eyes but nodded. How could I ever hurt the ever so expressive Jasper? But then I remembered how we spoke on the phone last night and immediately I began to get a warm feeling. Shit. Just as I was about to follow her out, I managed to bump into the one and only Jasper.

"Watch where you're going," Jasper said with raised eyebrows, looking almost amused. I huffed.

"It takes two to tango," I muttered. Jasper rolled his eyes.

"You and Adri want a ride to school?" I nodded my head and was just about to brush past him when he suddenly grabbed my waist and pulled me close, my hands instinctively pressing against his chest. My body was pressed so tightly against Jasper's that not even a sheet of paper could fit between us. Slowly, he leaned towards me while I stood frozen with shock. His hand held the nape of my neck and I felt his soft lips touch mine. Immediately I started kissing him back, my hands holding his shirt tightly as they curled into fists. As quickly as it started, it was finished, and Jasper stood up straight again, his green eyes glowing and pink lips looking slightly swollen and red. I was breathless and my eyes widened with surprise at what had just happened. It wasn't even a proper kiss, but just a light brush of lips, yet I was so affected.

"Adri was there," Jasper said as reasoning for the kiss. I nodded before walking with him towards the car, swallowing down my questions and not trusting myself to speak. When we turned the corner to face one of the many long hallways in the Thompson mansion, Adri was nowhere to be seen. She was in fact in the car, waiting for us to arrive. My questioning gaze burned at Jasper's head but he didn't turn around and hopped in to the driver's seat.

What the fuck.

My mind was still reeling when we reached school, and I had forgotten about our little "show" until Jasper courteously opened the door and grabbed my waist, pulling me close to him as soon as I stepped out.

"Ugh puh-lease no PDA in front of me," Adri said with a disgusted expression. Jasper simply smirked and we trailed after her when she walked ahead.

"Wow, Jasper Thompson acting chivalrous and possessive." I murmured, taking note of the possessive hold he had on me. "What has this world come to?"
