Knowing that you are harbouring a criminal is the only downside about being part of the French magical government. I have more chance of them finding out as I always get surprise visits from my work colleagues during the evening especially since I didn't show up for work today.
The pizza that we had delivered was awesome since Sirius loved eating proper food again. By the time he had finished we had decided that it was time to go to bed as it was quite late and we had had a busy day. Sirius was falling asleep in front of me like a small child so I took his hand and led him upstairs for what seemed like the hundredth time today. As I was getting him settled in his new room I heard the floo going and Max speaking to the visitor that had appeared. I heard the voice asking for me and Max trying to fend them off with the statement of that I was just going to bed. I decided to go investigate what was going on leaving Sirius upstairs with magical bounds on his door to stop him from wandering into what could be a massive problem.
As I got down to the bottom of the stairs and entered the living room of my house I saw my boss standing in the centre speaking to Max who was attempting to stay calm at the man. They seemed to be arguing about something that was important as they were both acting serious. "Good evening Trevor, what can I do for you?" It caused the two men to stop hat they were doing to speak to me. "Oh Cassiopeia, I am here to be the barer of bad news I'm afraid." He paused with a dramatic effect hoping that he would be forgiven for the interruption he had caused on my evening. "Sirius Black has escaped custody once again, I really don't know how the British do it constantly losing a criminal on multiple occasions, anyway they believe that he is coming to Europe mostly to France seeing as this is where you are." I sighed I knew that this would happen, I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner though as it is now unsafe for him here as well. "Well Trevor, he hasn't spoken to me since I left England when I was eleven, what makes you think that he would contact me now, remember he has hated me since my Uncle removed me from the family." I hoped that all of the acting classes that I took when I was younger were paying off and I was remembering to close my mind accordingly to stop any unwanted attacks on my mind. "I never thought of that Cassiopeia, I am so sorry to interrupt your evening." He nodded to us both and then disappeared back where he came from. I sighed slightly and cast a charm around the room to check for any tracking or listening devices that may have been planted as he was in the room. It found one underneath the fire place. I sighed and destroyed it swiftly before turning to Max and shrugging.
"I'm going back upstairs to sit with him for a while, I'll be into bed later honey." I spoke clearly as I took the first step up. "Okay, I'm going to figure out a way for this to work okay." I sighed knowing that he was right, we desperately needed to move away from this mess without it seeming suspicious.
As I entered the room I found my brother sitting on the bed staring at the door with anger. "Sorry Siri, I had to lock you in, my boss they are looking for you." He nodded carefully and lay down on the bed. "You know for a chatter box as a child I kind of don't like the quiet you Siri." I spoke to him as my back was turned. As I glanced around he was curled up in a ball watching me walk around straightening out the quilt. "Do you want me to stay with you for a while or shall I go?" I asked not expecting an answer from him I started towards the door until my steps were interrupted by him speaking to me. "Don't go Cass, stay with me tonight please." I smiled to myself but then inserted my blank mask to show that I wasn't bothered by his statement. "Sure I will Siri, let me go change first okay, then I'll be back." I waited for a nod of the head before I walked away and into the Master bedroom where I found my husband sitting waiting for my return. "I'm staying with him tonight Maxy." As I changed he replied with a positive answer knowing that I was going to it anyway even if he said no to me.
I lifted up the edge of the quilt when I entered the room and slipped inside. My brother then wrapped his arms around my waist and curled into me trying to find some comfort that I had been offering all evening. I stroked his hair in a calming rhythm as I felt him start to sob into my body which caused me to wrap my arms tighter around his small body. I wish that I had protected him greater and had fought harder when my grandfather tried to take him away from me. Tears streamed a little down my cheeks as I felt his body shake with the power that was rocking through his body. After what felt like a life time he pulled away from me and mumbled some sort of apology. I wondered for a moment why and then I remember the whole emotionless Black thing that I had had beaten into me since I was old enough to understand. I pulled his chin until he was looking at me straight into the eyes. "You never need to say sorry for emotion, it is not a weakness Sirius Black, understand me." I thought that I was maybe a little bit forceful but I knew that the message needed to get across somehow. I loosed go of his chin and pulled him into a hug to show him that I truly loved him.
