Before you know it the summer is over and Masie needed to go back to school. I had brought all of her kit already and it was all packed up in her trunk ready for her to go to school with. As he apperated into the school hall she made me promise that I would write all the time and whispered that Sirius had to write also. I smiled a watery smile and left the building so she could start her school year again. Entering the house again was hard as we were both alone once more without and children to keep the tension at bay. I was due back at work tomorrow so I started to make sure that everything was ready for the year ahead. I had started to dance again the stress was getting to me again as all I needed was Max here with me but he wasn't he was working away on a secret project again.

The day passed in a blur leaving me and my brother to our own devices as we got ready for the year ahead. As I got myself up and to the office that morning I was started doing all of the paper work form the summer. I got back into the swing of my job and the months started to blur together as the routine started again. Forcing us both to ignore the fact that it was getting closer to winter and Christmas was approaching. The only thing that reminded us was a letter from Harry saying that he needed to hair spell as he was a champion in the Triwizard Tournament meaning that he had to have the first dance with his date. I laughed as Sirius read the letter to me during dinner one evening, it caused us both to laugh about the predicament that he was in. I sent him back some spells and a charm book that I had owned at school for him. I knew that he will need this in his life over the course of a few years.

It was Christmas eve and I was wrapping up the present that I had brought the family and sending them to the appropriate places. Sirius and Masie were dancing in the studio ready for the ball that we were attending tonight. Well me and Masie were Sirius had to stay here for obvious reason such as he is still a wanted man. Max still hadn't come home leaving me without a dance partner for night which made me a little upset turning up alone with my daughter but I paid it no attention as we left to the party. The room was brilliant and so was the party until it was the time for the dance, nobody had informed the DJ that I wasn't able to do the dance but what surprised me was that Max appeared out of nowhere taking my hand as the song came on.

Sirius had apparently taught him the dance and had sent him many different letters stating the different moves that were needed while he was undercover, giving him a complete guide on the different moves that were needed for a flawless routine. I smiled so big that the muscles in my face hurt as we twirled around the dance floor, the song ended and we had completed a beautiful routine, which made me extremely happy. Masie ran onto the floor letting her daddy twirl her around leaving us to exit the dance floor which congratulations from everybody on the routine. It had left us smiling for the rest of the evening. We left at the early hours of the morning as Masie was falling asleep. Sirius was sat on the stairs waiting for us as I hugged him in thanks because he had done the best thing that anybody could ever do for us.

The next morning it was Christmas, the day that we had been waiting for in these past few dark months. Max informed me that he was leaving the next morning after breakfast and he only got permission to leave for a short period of time. Sadness crept in as I realised that we would be eating alone this Christmas but at least I had company of Masie and Sirius. I started to panic as I thought about the last Christmas I had with him and I hoped that I could make it better than that. Masie got up early that morning and we all ate breakfast with Masie pleading with Max to stay for rest of the day as he tearfully had to leave during breakfast due to his boss calling him back. We opened presents and then sat through Christmas dinner, afterwards we put on Christmas music and danced around like children. The way that my daughter acts made me wish to keep her in that naivety but knowing that in a few months it would all disappear. The rest of the holidays went without a glitch making the routine start all over again, making me wish that I could bubble wrap her to keep her safe.

During the next few months we received a few letters from Harry and dozens from Masie. Harry told us all about the trials that he was facing and that he had to last one soon and was wondering if we could make it. I smiled and contacted Masie's school hoping to remove her for the day so we could visit Harry at Hogwarts. She was excited as Beauxbatons was competing in the event as well and wanted to go and cheer them on. Contacting Professor Dumbledore and bringing Sirius with me was hard but we managed to get around the whole security risk problem.

The day of the trial was upon us as we flooed to the headmaster's office and Sirius changed back into his animagus form. I was excited to see Harry again and to see him perform some of the magic he had been telling me in the summer. We were able to spend the entire day with him from breakfast up to the trial, I could tell that he was nervous but with us there he managed to control himself. Masie was asking him tons on questions about Hogwarts and his lessons and he answered them kindly just like a big brother would. Walking down to the trial with him made me nervous for him but he was shaking as I hugged him in good luck along with Masie. We sat down with the Weasley family waiting for it to be over. An hour into the trial we had seen all but two of the contestants pull out due to injuries but then Harry and another boy appeared. The other boy was dead.

The screaming of harry and he was trying to say what had happened to him caused my heart to break. I watched as a teacher took Harry away to calm him down. We followed with the Head master I left Masie with the Weasley family who looked after her. It turned out a death eater was pretending to be the ex-head Auror while keeping the real Mad eye-moody in a box in the room. I took harry to the hospital wing where the Weasley's and Sirius were waiting. Turns out the dark lord is back and harry saw him and helped him return. I knew that our lives were going to change as we returned home and I took Masie to school.

Sirius left to go and gather people to join the Order as I packed up our belongings for the summer so we could move to Head Quarters with my brother. Contacting Max with the news telling him where we were going and what to do when he returned from the job was easy. Max wasn't coming home though as he had jobs lined up until spring next year. Sighing to myself I locked up the house and apparated to England and my childhood home. Somewhere I didn't want to be at all this summer, but as Sirius had inherited the house it was the only way forward. I entered the house of death scanning the area for any dangerous charms and hexes that my mother would have entered onto the house. Unfortunately, I didn't get to battle any monsters apart from the deranged house elf that never died. Calling Pixie who I ordered to help clean the house was the way forward for us.
