Today was the day of the world cup which Masie is very excited for. We aren't going to go and watch but she is going with a friend that has invited her. They both love playing and watching the sport so her family invited Masie. Which is nice because we get to make sure that we are ready for Harry to come and visit. Masie was so excited for him to come and visit as he is going to be here for a week then will return the Weasley family I believe. I have to go and collect him from them after the match is over tomorrow. Sirius is very excited with the chance to see his godson again and I am very excited to meet the boy that has made my brother so happy.
Masie left the house early this morning so for breakfast it was only me and Sirius as Max left with Masie to go to work. He works in the ministry as part of the undercover unite in different areas of the country to make sure that there is no leaking of the wizarding world and that the peace is being kept. Today he has left for a long undercover job which could last anywhere from sixth months to a year, it meant that it has been an emotional morning to add to the emotional week we have had. Max leaving doesn't affect me as much anymore due to him being away a lot anyway and my understanding that he is doing good in the world. Sometimes it is hard but I have come to accept this over time.
Me and Sirius spent the day arranging the room for Harry and we then decided to finish off the dance routine we have been working on. He is helping me learn an easy but complex routine for me and Max to do as part of the winter ball that is held every year. Being head of my department I must do the opening dance and to show off I want to be able to dance to perfection. The routine is complicated for me but simple enough for Max and we had made it harder as he learns it. We have been practicing this for months but since Max is gone we won't be able to take part in the first dance anymore.
I turned the radio on during dinner which was a bad idea as the wizarding news announced that there had been an attack at the world cup. Death eaters had invaded the celebrations after the match and had be attacking the muggles whose land it was. The room was tense as we heard the presenters tell us the news that was incoming from the match letting us know that nobody had been hurt in the attacks and everything was fine but nobody had been caught. They also told us that Sirius Black was involved in the attacks. This statement made us laugh seeing as he was sat in front of me. I worried about Masie and the attacks but I knew that her friend's family would keep my daughter safe and that I shouldn't be worried about her.
A few hours later we were both in bed asleep wishing that we knew our love ones were safe and sound but that wasn't possible tonight. At 5am the doorbell went, I frowned as I sat up it hadn't affected my sleep in anyway but I wasn't expecting anybody until around 12 o'clock which is when Masie should be back. Putting on my robes I went to the door, it was Masie who had tear tracks on her face as her friend's father brought her home. He told me that they left early as the attacks would make the families worry and they thought that it was best to bring Masie home safely. "Mama, don't worry I was only scared nothing happened to me." I smiled at her statement sending her to bed so she could sleep as I would have to go and pick up Harry at 9.
I slept for 2 more hours before dressing and heading down for breakfast. Pixie had made pancakes which were Masie's favourite ever and I knew that Sirius also loved them smothered in syrup. They both came down yawning and grumbling at the smell of breakfast, causing me to laugh at them as I ate my breakfast quickly. By this point it was nearly half past eight so I thought that better get going. Kissing my daughter on the cheek as well as my brother I made them promise that they wouldn't leave the house and that they wouldn't answer the door to nobody. After two sort of agreement noises I left through the fireplace to the Burrow.
After what seemed like the longest journey ever I landed in a living room with miss matched furniture and a women standing in front of me wearing an apron. I smiled sweetly at the women assuming that this was in fact Mrs Weasley and she probably won't let me take Harry without an interrogation. "Good Morning Ma'am, I assume Professor Dumbledore has told you that I am taking Harry Potter for the week and then returning him to you afterwards." I had my fingers crossed behind my back as she took in my appearance and the way that I spoke gave away where I was from and probably what I wanted. "I hope that you are Cassiopeia Churchill then." She stated walking into what looked like a kitchen. The room was large and looked very homely just what a wizarding home should look like. I breathed in the smell of breakfast being cooked and took a seat in the offered chair. She told me that they were returning from the cup now and that I was almost an hour early. I face palmed as I remembered about the whole time zone thing and that I should have figured this out earlier. She chuckled to herself and assured me that it was no problem as Harry wouldn't have unpacked anyway.
The door opened quickly and in came a lot of teenage boys laughing and smiling. All of the boys had ginger hair except for one which meant that he was Harry Potter. They all froze at the sight of me sat there talking with their mother. Two girls walked in after them smiled at me and walked upstairs after the spoke to Molly Weasley, the boys were still standing there but just sat down and started eating. The Weasley Clan were all eating their breakfast as Mrs Weasley explained who I was and why I was here. Harry didn't even flinch at the prospect of me taking him with me as I think Dumbledore explained what the whole trip was about. Harry smiled at me as a dozen question were thrown at me about lots of different things which caused an up roar when I supplied my answers. I obviously used my French accent to throw them off the scent of Sirius.
"Well Harry, are you ready to go?" I smiled at the boy who was sitting in front of me. I took in his appearance and I mentally promised myself that I was going to buy him some new clothes that were his and not handy me downs. "Oh Ma'am I need to go pack some more clothes." I waved at him to go do that as I waited in the kitchen for him to finish packing all of the belongings that he needed. "Oh Harry bring that cloak." He looked shocked but grinned all the same at me, I noticed the other two of his friends staring at me as I grinned at them. I knew that they must have realised who I was from the way that I said that.
The boy appeared in front of me 5 minutes later ready to go. "Okay so we are going to floo to my house but it is a long distance floo." He pulled a face at the floo comment. I decided we would side along to stop any mishaps. Holding his hand tightly we both went through the floo and landed in my living room. He stood there for a moment waiting for my encouragement to move so I gently pushed him towards the door and into the kitchen where I had left my family. Sirius stood up and hugged harry tightly. Sirius was so happy to be with his godson again that the price that we were paying didn't matter anymore.
"Okay so Harry, this is my sister Cassiopeia but call her Cassie and her daughter Masie." Sirius told harry. "This is their house, Cassie has been looking after me for the last couple of months and will do until we can be together again." I smiled that comment but went back to reading the paper about the attacks on the match yesterday. "So harry do you want to go to your bedroom," I said standing up tall. He followed me up the stairs and into a bedroom. I pointed at each room as we passed saying whose was which. I opened the room on the end of the floor and took him into his room. "Harry, this is where you will reside every time you stay at my home." I left the room leaving him to catch up with Sirius. After a while I went up to ask Harry a few questions.
"I'm going out with Masie, you'll be okay here right with Sirius." They both nodded. "Okay, so just ask Pixie for anything that you want." As I went to leave I remembered my promise. "Harry what size clothes and shoe you." He looked at me with bambi eyes not understanding what I meant. "Um, I dunno." He replied carefully. I looked at him seriously. "You mean to say that you've never got any of your own clothes." The concern evident in my voice. He nodded shyly. This made me angry like what sort of people didn't buy clothes for their own nephew but then I realised that muggles can be like that.
I stared at him for a moment and then sighed. I waved my wand over his body using a spell which told me about his size of clothing. A tape measure had appeared measuring him making sure I got the correct sizing when I was shopping for clothes. I handed him the paper and a pen. He looked at it blankly. "Underwear and sock sizing and anything else you need." He blushed at the mention of this. Sirius smirked at him and took the paper off him and wrote down what he believed and then added anything else. "Bye Boys." I said as I took Masie shopping for clothes as he desperately needed them.
