Charmed!

Chapter 27: Real Whitelighter!

   Paige just got a new charge. She hasn't had a charge since Samuel, which she only became his whitelighter because he turned out to be her biological father. She was excited to get a new charge. Now it's sort of like she's a real whitelighter. Paige's new charge is a 10 year old girl who just became a witch and she is in hiding because a demon is after her.
   Paige sensed her and she orbed. She was in the middle of the forest. She saw a cave and walked in. A demon was there and shot fireballs at her. She used her telekenetic orbing and made them burn in the fire. He screamed in pain and was vanquished.
       Paige looked around for the little girl. "Hello?" Paige asked. "I won't hurt you, I'm here to help you." Paige reassured. Then the little girl got out of hiding and walked towards Paige slowly and carefully. "Hi. What's your name?" Paige asked. "Claire." Clair replied. "Hi. I'm Paige Matthews. I'm your whitelighter. But I am also a witch, like you." Paige explained. "I just found out what I am and I'm scared." Claire stated. "Don't be. I know how you feel, I was in your position once. I wasn't as young though. My parents were dead and I thought I was an only child. I then found out who my birth parents were and I found out I had three sisters. They helped me through it like I'm going to help you. Then we'll find your brother who can help you as well, you're not alone." Paige explained. Paige grabbed Claire's hand and orbed away.
  They orbed into the living room of the Manner. "Claire. Sit down and get comfortable. I'm going to go get my sisters." Paige stated and Claire nodded in agreement. Paige walked away and knocked on Piper's door. "Come in!" Paige heard Wyatt call with a giggle. She walked in and saw Piper sleeping with Wyatt on the bed awake and Chris was in his crib, starting to wake up. "Piper...." Paige tried to wake her. "Piper!" Paige called and she accidentally orbed her out of the bed and on the floor. "Ow!" Piper exclaimed getting up. "Sorry." Paige apologized and Piper stood up. "What?" Piper asked. "Go downstairs and call Prue, I'll get Phoebe. I'll explain everything later." Paige demanded and Piper sighed.
       Piper sat across from Claire, still confused. Phoebe and Paige walked in. "Is Prue coming?" Paige asked. Piper opened her mouth to speak but then they heard the door open and close. "I'm here!" They heard Prue's voice and they saw her as she entered the room with Victor. "What's going on?" Prue asked. "Yeah. Who's this?" Phoebe asked. "This is my charge, Claire. She just become a witch and learning her powers. Her parents are dead and she has an older brother but she doesn't know where he is. Demons are after her and I don't know why." Paige explained. "I think I know why." Claire finally spoke and everyone turned to her. Claire grabbed an amulet that was hidden under her shirt. "My mom, before she died to save me. She said that there is this amulet that belonged to a very powerful witch. She's not my ancestor she she's an ancestor of some of the most powerful witches, the Charmed Ines." Claire explained. "We're the Charmed Ones." Prue stated. "Really? Well, this amulet belonged to a witch named Melinda Warren." Claire stated. She took it off and handed it to Paige. "Who's Melinda Warren?" Paige asked as she examined the necklace. "We actually met her before, she came from the past. She was with the guy, who turned out to be a warlock. He turned her in and burned at the stake. She could have gotten out of it but she had a daughter, named Prudence. She didn't want anyone to go after her. But us three all got our first power from her, because she has three powers. So she died, but she was powerful." Piper explained and Paige nodded. "But then we went in the past, even before Melinda was burned at the stake, and Piper was the doctor and got her into this world." Phoebe added and Paige's eyes went wide. "Later." Prue stated and Paige nodded. "Piper and I will summon Melinda and get information out of her. We will also check out about these demons, Claire will identify them for us. Phoebe and Paige. You will find Claire's brother and see what else Claire knows." Prue explained and everyone nodded in agreement.
