It's kind of fun to do the impossible. ~Walt Disney

Luke's POV

I was standing at my locker alone, which was never a good idea. I always got heckled whenever I was alone, and there was no one there to help me. Usually people left me alone when they saw Nala or Chyanne, but that was not the case right now.

Freak.

Fag.

Loser.

I think you get the point.

I looked off to the right of me to see Draven walking towards me. There was a big smile on his face as he stood next to me. "Hi Luke."

"H-Hi.." I said quietly. At this point someone yelled something at me and Draven responded.

"Hey leave the kid alone," Draven said and the kids went wide eyed, maybe because he was talking to them or the fact that he actually stood up for me. I had no idea. But they laughed with his next statement. "This one is mine."

"Of course, Drav." One of the girls commented as they walked down the hallway. He turned his head back to me and cocked an eyebrow.

"So," He began. "What makes you think that what you do is alright?" I said nothing. "Cat got your tongue."

"If you're going to do something," I said quietly before letting my eyes meet his. "Get it over with. I know you're just dying to knock me out."

"Oh.." Draven began to chuckle. "You're good." He rolled his eyes. "Whatever I do to you, be well aware that Luna will hit you ten times harder."

"I'm well aware of her position." I replied.

"At least you know your place in the world," Draven said. "Personally, I don't think you have a place in the world. I would really like it if you went back to wherever you came from."

I said nothing and turned back to my locker before closing it and walking away from Draven. He followed right behind me and pulled on the back of my shirt, he raised his fist and I flinched back at it. "Draven!" I heard a voice echo through the hallway. He let me go and sighed as I saw Ashton pull him back. "What are you doing? When did I permit this?"

"You didn't." Draven sighed as he took a step back.

"Exactly why you shouldn't be doing it, you know why it's bad to have to earlier planning, don't you?" Ashton asked.

"Yes sir." Draven said, he folded his arms and looked off to the side. Ashton let out a sigh before his eyes flickered to me.

"Get the hell out of here." Ashton snarled at me. I went wide eyed before darting away. I was thinking that Ashton was someone who might be helpful for me to have around, although he seemed to cast me out faster than anyone else. I was not about to try his patience though, I got out of there as fast as I could.

I let out a sigh as I sat down in class, I was alone in this class like I was many of them. The teachers gave me odd looks, the students criticized me. I hated this school. The people I attended school with before was not even half as judgemental as they all were.

I went to school with mostly girls before I transferred. It was a private academy for dancers, and male dancers? Well, that was something practically unheard of. I knew it was a lot harder for the girls to get in then for me to get in from my position, but no one really liked to point it out. There were indeed other male students, but about ninety percent of the school's population were girls.

I wondered why I had been forced to transfer here in the first place, wondering what had happened for me to end up here. I knew my father was no longer funding my mother and I, but I wondered why that had happened. After all, they were not divorced. My father found work wherever he could and sent us money. But I had no idea why my parents weren't divorced. After all, why would you want to stay with someone who was hundreds of miles away? I had not spoken to him in such a long time, that I don't think I remember the sound of his voice. But, my mother remained faithful and as far as I knew, my father was the same way.

"I-Is someone sitting here..?" I heard a small voice speak up, I turned my head to see a short shaggy-haired brunette standing above me. I shook my head. "Do you mind if I..?" I shook my head once more as he took a seat. He pushed his nerdy-framed glasses up onto his face and it was only now that I realized that he had one blue eye and one gold eye.

"Um.. Your eyes are..?" I tilted my head and he gave a nervous laugh.

"Yeah they're two different colors." He nodded. "Oh I-I'm Clark by the way."

"Luke." I responded.

"How long have you been going to school here?" He asked.

"This is my second day." I told him.

"Funny, this is my first day. I guess we're both pretty new, huh?" Clark gave a nervous laugh. I had no idea why he was acting the way he was, but I suppose if I was in his position - asking some kid you don't even know if you can sit with them - well, I would have found another place to sit before I batted an eyelash.

"Too bad I already want to leave." I sighed as I leaned on my hand. "I want to go back to my old school."

"Well, I'm sure that you'll figure out something." Clark gave a smile, but he looked like he did not believe it himself. I found that fine, if he didn't believe the advice he gave, well he was like one in the millions that gave advice they never followed. There was nothing wrong with it, after all, everything is situational.

Everything changes. No matter how damned you feel when it does.
