Baby Love Pt4/Ambreigns

Dean Ambrose sat on the bench in the locker room he shared with his two best friends...brothers and Shield stablemates Seth Rollins and Dean's boyfriend of five years Roman Reigns. He was alone, Seth and Roman gone to catering, Dean used the time by himself to think about how much his life had changed for the better the last seven months.

Dean loved Roman, he was the first person in Dean's life he's ever loved romantically, but being in love scared...still scared him. Of course their relationship wasn't perfect, they've had their share of ups and downs, but their love was always stronger than whatever tried to break them. Six months ago though they almost broke up for good after the biggest fight they've ever had, which ended with Dean moving in with Seth! The fight had been over Roman's want to adopt a child with Dean, anyone else would have been happy and excited about the idea...but not Dean! The thought of having kids terrified him; after his horrible childhood with his druggie, alcoholic, abusive parents, he was afraid of turning into his father! Instead of telling Roman though, Dean gave him excuse after shitty excuse, throwing a temper tantrum like a damn child. Then he packed his stuff and walked out, breaking up with Roman.

Dean stayed with Seth, refusing to talk about anything, until a couple days later Seth confronted him about it. When ignoring him didn't work, he told Seth everything and without judging he made Dean realize he wasn't and never would be his father. That night after Seth went to bed, Dean used his brother's laptop and looked into adoption. After staying up all night doing research, he decided that even though being a father terrified him, it was something he wanted to do! In the morning he called a local adoption agency and set up an appointment for them to talk to a worker. He then called Roman and left him a message begging him to meet him and Roman did. Dean finally told him everything, apologized and asked Roman to take him back. Roman did and Dean surprised him with the adoption, Dean was nervous as hell during the meeting, but Roman helped him through it.

After the meeting they told Seth about it, he was so happy for them and excited about being an Uncle. After filling out the paperwork and having background checks done, they received a call from their case manager; a kind, helpful woman named Catherine Sanders, telling them they had been approved for adoption. Dean and Roman talked and decided to go to the Orphanage to find their child, so they went with Seth and met up with Catherine. After being unable to connect with any of the kids, Dean felt horrible and went outside by himself, where he met a sweet, little four year old boy named Zander; who reminded Dean of himself. He spent time playing with Zander falling in love with him, before Roman, Seth and Catherine found them. They watched Dean and Zander together and she told Roman and Seth how because of Zander's extreme shyness and intelligence the other children and prospective parents didn't connect with him. Roman and Seth met Zander and spent time with him and like Dean, both fell in love with him too. After the visit was over they told Catherine that they wanted Zander to be a part of their family and started the adoption process that same day.

It was now four months later and they were still waiting for the call telling them Zander could come home. They had done everything Catherine wanted them to do without complaining; multiple home visits, she had talked to Seth, Hunter, Stephanie, and some of their friends, as well as many other things! While they waited, whenever they could all three would go visit Zander, when they couldn't they called him and sent him gifts. Dean tried to stay strong, but he was tired of doing everything Catherine and the agency wanted them to do and they still didn't have Zander home with them and he was slowly losing hope they ever would. His thoughts were interrupted by his brothers returning, he stood and Roman kissed him.
