"Did you know?" Allison asked Lily as she drove the car quickly down the road. She'd picked Lily up from Derek's place and showed her all the stuff she had been using to track the two werewolves who were currently running wild. Lily had wanted to stop by her house to grab some stuff but Allison carried spare weapons which she said Lily could use. They were driving to the school – where they assumed the two wolves were heading – when Allison had asked her. Lily froze, not completely sure of what Allison was referring to but having a small suspicion.

Lily gulped, glancing out the window, "About your mother?"

Allison clenched her jaw, her hands tightening on the steering wheel, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"What was I supposed to say?" Lily raised her eyebrows, "It wasn't my place to tell you and even if it had been, how would I have even approached the topic?" She received no reply and glancing over at Allison, she saw that her eyes seemed clouded with emotion. Everything in their lives always had to be so complicated – so grey. Even something like the death of the loved one couldn't be a simple black and white situation, even that could be painted in different shades. Lily had wanted Allison to know but she and Allison weren't super close and Scott was obviously keeping it from her for a reason.

They pulled up at the school, finding the parking lot empty except for one car. Before they got out, Lily stopped Allison, releasing a deep breath and awkwardly saying, "Look, what your mother tried to do – it was wrong and there's not much I can say about it but... she's still your mother and as twisted as her actions were, they were out of love. Basically, what I'm trying to say is don't hate her over this." Allison held her eyes for a moment and Lily wasn't sure whether her words had helped her or not until she sent her a small smile, her eyes less sad than they had been before. Nodding one last time at her, Allison jumped out of the car, leading the way.

Lily followed her to the trunk, looking over at the one car in the parking lot. Frowning slightly, she gestured to it, "I think someone's here."

Allison turned to appraise the car, frowning herself, "If they get here with that person still in the school..." She trailed off, her eyebrows furrowing as she thought of the maiming and injury that would probably follow.

"I'll get them out," Lily told her, "You finish setting up here and I'll see what I can do."

Allison nodded, "Okay. Be careful." Lily smiled at her, grabbing a random knife from the trunk and making her way to the school. "Oh and Lily," she called after her. Lily paused, turning and raising her eyebrows at her. "Thanks for saying that. I know we're not that close but it means a lot." It was obvious that Allison wasn't fully comfortable with everything so Lily just sent her a smile before returning to what she was doing earlier.

It didn't take her long to find an entrance into the school, running through the hallways in order to find whoever was there. Lily was aware that there wasn't much time till the others got there so she needed to find them quickly. After some laps around, Lily found a room with the light on, slowing down as she got there. She groaned as she looked in the room to find it empty apart from some belongings. It had to be Miss Blake, Lily thought to herself, wondering where on earth she'd gone as she appraised the classroom and the leftover stuff.

The school was way too big with the amount of time she had. Biting her lip, she considered her options, wondering if what she wanted to do would even work. Swallowing, she closed her eyes, thinking deeply. This wouldn't be a big event but it happened recently so there would still be small traces of it – at least, that's what Lily hoped. She still hadn't read the book that Deaton had given to her so she still had no real idea of what she was doing.
