" Argh!!!" The boxes from the shelves collapsed on us. I got up in a huff. " Lilly!!! Are you sure this is the place because the only things I found that you should worry about was a dead rat and rotten food!!!" I playfully yelled at her.

" No, I'm positive there's a ghost in here." She stated trying to push aside the boxes.

" Are you sure I'm not sensing anyone here?" I told her dusting myself off.

" I am positive. I've alway noticed that when we have cake in the fridge, the next day there's a bite taken out of it. Then in the training room at night I keep hearing the sound of someone putting down the weights." She said while a pulled her off the ground.

" Maybe it's your Dad." I told her. Lily shook her head.

" My parents are hardly ever home." She looked at me with her puppy dog eyes. I looked at her with my 'really' face then sighed.

" Alright, we'll keep looking, but you gotta stop doing those eyes. No boy ever going to go out with you if you keep doing that." I sighed. She didn't get offended, but did her cute giggle.

" Yay!!! Thank you, Riku!" She cheered. I couldn't help but smile. She was probably one of the most innocent and cutest girls in my class. School just started here in Asheville, North Carolina. It's not the most talked about towns, but for me it's the most mysterious. I'm an outsider in my school. It's really only Lilly and I against the world. I'm surprised she still hangs with me, even after I told her that I have connections to the Spirit Realm.

*glass shattering*

" Ah!!! It's him again!!!" Lily shrieked and hid behind me. I turned around and looked at her.

" How do you know it's a he?" I asked her. Not that the glass surprised me. " I mean maybe it's a girl or animal." I told her. She looked at me and gave me one of her innocent smiles.

" I just like to think it's a guy." She giggled.

*sighs* " Alright, stay close behind me." I crept through the attic floor. It was a really big attic and there are many places for the ghost to hide. " Spirit, you don't have to be afraid. We mean you no harm. My name's Riku and this is Lilly." I pointed out to her. " We just want to know why you are here."

You....You can see me? A boy appeared from the wall. His skin was tinted a pale green and his hair a shaggy jet black. A green essence hovered around him. Something wasn't quite right about him.

" Yes, I can see you. Now if you don't mind may we know your name." I asked him. He looked at me with a hint of shock.

The names Cole. He said in a strong and proud voice. I felt myself blush a bit.

" Um..Can you tell me why you are here?" I asked him. He closed his eyes for a brief moment.

" I...I don't remember. At one point I was protecting someone then there was a bright light..then...then here I am.

" Hey, what's he saying?" Lilly whispered to me. I turned around to shush her, but the door opening from the upstairs interrupted me.

" Lilly!! Who are you talking to?"

" Oh, shoot. My sister's home. You got to go if she finds out I snuck you in. Then we're both dead." She whispered to me.

" But-" I turned back to the boy, but he was gone.

" No, buts. You can text me later, but now you have to go." Lily pushed me toward on of the windows that lead to the outside. I climbed up and through the opening. " Thank you." She smiled. I nodded to her.

" I'll talk to you later then." I smiled.

" Yup." Lilly cheered and slid the window closed. I sighed in relief and got up from the damp lawn. I looked towards the sky.

" Looks like it's going to rain. Again." I pulled out my umbrella and placed it over my head. I walked down the wet and shiny street the cars raced by me. " I wonder who that boy was. Maybe I'll see him again-ah!" I tripped a bit, but I caught myself. " What the?" I looked around. I felt a strange presence right next to me.

" Cole?"
