Few Day's Later....

Riku's POV

" Ow!"

" Sorry..there." He finished taking off the bandage off the bite on my neck. " Look good as new." He smiled. I turned to him.

" Thanks, sorry I guess I should had listen to you." I smiled.

" Well, I blame myself for not warning you sooner." Cole turned away.

" Hey, don't get too worked up about it. Besides, I'm fine." I tried to cheer him up. He turned away. I didn't know what was bothering him, but it must had been something that the beast said to him. Then I remembered something.

" Cole, that beast. It kept repeating the same names over and over again.' I grabbed a sheet of paper from the table. " Yuki, Zane, Riku, Cole, Natalie, Jay, Lucy, Kai, then it was Samsara and Lloyd." I finished.

" What does it mean?"

" I'm not sure, but by the looks of it. Okay, the book Memories left in Snow. Talked about Yuki and Zane. Then their us."

Cole looked at the other names. " Then there's the rest of the ninja. Then I'm not sure about the rest of the names." I shrugged. " Wait, what do you mean 'us'?"

O///O " What?! No, wait not like that!!!' I shrieked. Cole just started laughing. " What?"

" No." he wiped a tear from his eye. " You're cute, Riku."

" Really, that's it?" I smirked. He shook his head.

" No, your strong, determine, funny, caring, and..and beautiful." He began to blush a bit. I blushed too. Wait, is..I am actually falling for him. There was always something about him that..that I found different from the rest. He's a born leader. A person willing to sacrifice himself to save the one's he loves.

" Hey, *ahem* Maybe we should put this aside for right now, and go do something fun." Cole suggested.

" Oh, look at you Mister Let's Go Do Something Fun. What's gotten into you?" I cooed. Things have been quiet since the wolf incident. It caught me by surprize that Cole wanted to take a break. I mean this might be good for us.

" Well, I..I just though since I'm here and things are going well. I mean it wouldn't hurt us." He smiled. " Do you know anything we could do out here?"

" Well, I found this place in the deeper forest. I go there something to climb the side of the mountain." I suggested. He smiled grew on his face.

" Aww, yeah!!! Now's there's an idea!!" He cheered. I smiled and got up.

" Alright then. Let me us get into some climbing clothes then we'll be off." I said and started walking towards my room. I couldn't believe it. Here I am with one of my favorite Ninjago characters in my house, and the best part yet. I'm the only one that can see him. Well, actually that's kind of weird, but oh well. I looked at the clouded mirror on the side of the room. A dark figure appeared in it.

*gasp* I backed away onto the bed. A small vase fell onto the ground. I looked back at the mirror. The figure was gone. " That was weird."

Cole's POV

*knock, knock* " Hey, Riku are you ok?" There was no answer from behind the door. " Riku, are-"

" Yeah, I'm fine. I just knocked over a vase that's it." She smiled. She was wearing a gray tank top with blue jeans, along with her black sweater. I looked at her in total shock. " What?" She smiled. I blushed.

" Oh, nothing." I chuckled then walked towards the door. Great, this is just stupid. I'm I really falling for a girl. The last time I tried to get a girl, I messed up everything. Then I got turned into a ghost. Then...this happened.

" Cole, where are you going?" I turned towards Riku who was heading the opposite direction.

" Sorry, I was in deep thought." I ran towards her.

" Ok, you see that cliff in the forest." She pointed to the one north of us. It was one of the tallest in the area from what I saw.

" That one?" I turned towards her. She nodded.

" The ninja of earth isn't scare is he?" She teased.

" Hah, I can't wait to see the day when I'm afraid of climbing. This was my life before I became a ninja." I smiled. If anything a Ninjago fanatic like her probably would had known that already. We started racing towards the mountain. The breeze was crisp and cool. The forest was silent and yet full of life. I haven't felt this way for a long time. Here in this place and with Riku. I felt free.

" Okay, stop right here." Riku started slowing down at the base of a mountain. " We just have to be careful. There's still ice on this mountain and that could be a slip and fall accident."

" Are you ready?" I asked.

" The question is are you?" She smiled. I nodded my head. We both jumped on the rocks. Gripping each rock with precise and careful calculations. This was tricky stuff and one false move could end you. Especially in free climbing. I could tell Riku was a pro at this. Looks like she knew what she was getting herself into when she suggested this. I met many fangirls back in Ninjago and even here. There was something about her that struck me different. I don't care what that wolf was telling us. I know what I'm feeling and it isn't the same way I felt with Nya. This...this feels real. A real love. " Hey, Cole are you good."

" Yeah, I could do without the freezing hands though." She giggled. " If Jay were here. There's a chance he wouldn't had made it within one foot."

" No, if Jay were here. He probably wouldn't had gotten on the mountain." She stated.

" True."

We continued our climb up the mountain. The sky began to darken. " I feel like it's going to rain soon." I stated in a worried tone.

" Yeah, we better get to the top soon. Before the rain starts and wets the rocks." She said. Riku then jumped the a ledge right of her, and continued her climb. Man, she's good. I tried to get ahead. I jumped from rock to rock. The lighting cracked from above us, but I didn't let that stop me.

" Alright, we made it." I huffed. " Riku?" I turned around.

" Yeah, I'm right behind you-shoot!" She slipped on one of the rocks.

" Riku!!!" I yelled quickly jumping off the ledge and grabbing her. Just as we fell, I grabbed the ledge and threw Riku up the top of the mountain.

------------

Riku's POV

It all happened too fast. At one moment I thought this was it, but when grasped him in his arms and threw me. I knew I was still alive because of the sharp pain I felt when crashing into the damp dirt and grass. I got to my senses and realize that Cole was gone. I went to the edge of the cliff.

" Cole?!" No answer. " Cole, Cole- Oh my gosh!!!' I backed away in shock when Cole popped out from under the ledge. He laughed and climbed back to the top. I sat up in front of him. " What the heck were you thinking. I nearly had an-" Before I knew it. Cole's lips touched mine. I didn't know what to do, but I did nothing. The moment was quick, but meaningful. " Cole..." I whispered as his his lips left mine.

" Riku, you may had taken my spirit, but you had also taken my heart." He smiled.
