Cole's POV
We stood in front of the horrid looking queen. Things didn't look bright in our eyes. I wasn't sure what to do.
" If ghost can't withstand Deepstone, perhaps the same goes for the Preeminent." Zane stated.
I looked at my bike for a moment and thought of an idea.
" My bike's made of Deepstone. How about I jam it down her gullet? Cover me." I reved up my bike and turned around. I was in the zone and wasn't going to slow down for any reason. This was the moment of truth and I wasn't going to stop. I looked at her from the distance.
Wait, what if I don't make it? I began to have second thoughts. A breeze blew from behind me. I turned around and couldn't believe my eyes.
" Riku?!" I gasped almost choking at the sound of her name. " Your..your-"
" Yes, I'm here, but not for long. You came this far. Don't let the doubts of the unknown scare you. Just drive, and don't let fear that you over!" she told me in a strong yet kind voice. " I'll be with you."
I nodded my head and looked towards the queen. " Like cake? How's this for your pie hole?"
I reved up again and drove like never before I wasn't going to lose this battle no matter what. The memories I still had from when and Riku were together were still powering me up. I drove faster. Dodging the tentacles of the beast.
" Ninja, go!!!" I yelled jumping off the bike last second. Before it disappeared and down the monsters mouth. The queen began to choke and became angerer than before.
" Great, there's goes a perfectly good bike." I huffed.
" That's okay, you'll figure this out somehow." Riku whispered to me. I nodded my head.
" Cole, focus!" Kai yelled. I turned towards him and nodded. I took a sudden glance at Zane. Who gave me a look, that told me that he saw her just I well as I did.
-----------------------
The battle was tough, and the damage much, but in the end it was thanks to Nya that put out the flame of the Preeminent.
Morro too was gone from this world, but maybe that's a good thing, and the fact there is no longer a curse realm. I looked at my ghostly hands and look at our team.
" We all may look different, but like our team some things never change." I smiled.
" Yeah, I've been dying to know. What are the others realms like, Lloyd? Come on, spill it." Jay asked mostly to the point of jumping up and down. Lloyd looked at us and then to the sun in the sky.
" Let's just say, the future looks bright. For us and for Ninjago." he smiled. I couldn't help, but smile too. Well, for one so far me and Zane been to one of the dimensions that are out there. Though it was nothing like Ninjago, there were some things I still miss.
" I'm proud of you, Cole." Riku smiled looking at me with turquoise eyes. I blushed when I saw her.
" You are still as beautiful as the day I left you." I smiled. Riku came next to me and kissed me on the cheek. " Can't you stay with me?"
" I'm sorry, Cole. I can't, not where I'm at." she whispered. She voice dark and scared.
" What do you mean? What's happening?" I asked. Tears rolled down her cheek.
" Watch out, Cole. The Netherling are strong, and their Master wicked. There will be three more watching before they come here." she warned me. " Don't' worry about me. I promise to come back to you. One way or another, and tell Zane. I promise to find Yuki." she winked and as her body disappeared and held onto to her until the very end.
" I'll wait for you. Until I see you again." I cried.
" Thank you...." she disappeared into the light, and she was gone. I clenched my fist and looked towards the others. Zane looked at me, and came towards me.
" What's happening, Cole?" he asked.
" This is just the beginning of a bigger war." I said looking at him with scared and uncertain eyes.
