Broken Stone

Riku's POV

" Wait, you followed me from under my umbrella. All the way from Lilly's house?" I looked at Cole with flaring eyes.

I would think so. I thought you knew that ghost are vulnerable to water. He stated. I looked at him.

" What kind of excuse is that. I've seen many ghost go through the rain with ease and I see them the next day. Then if I didn't was because I found them peace!" I yelled at him. He looked at me.

Oh, I guess the rules changed on me. He rubbed his head. I closed my eyes trying to fit the pieces together.

" My parents aren't home for two weeks, and it's the first week of summer. So I guess I wouldn't mind some company." I sighed.

Thank you. He smiled. I looked at him for a moment.

" Wait, Lilly said there was a piece of cake missing. Was that you?" I asked Cole. He looked at me trying to make himself look innocent, but it didn't work.

" Maybe." He smiled.

" How the heck can a ghost eat?" I looked at him.

" Okay, Sometimes I'm able touch certain things and do other things, but I still haven't figured it out yet." He stated. I was totally dumbfounded. This was the strangest case yet.

" I'm too tired to figure this out right now." I sat down in one of the chairs in the dining room. Cole came next to me and pulled out a chair. I tried to ignore him, and opened my laptop. I had forgotten I was on Wattpad the last time, and didn't log out. " Argh!! Don't look at it!!!" I blushed and shut the laptop. Cole backed away from me slowly in total shock.

" Whoa, I wasn't looking. You don't have to be embarrassed about..whatever that was?" He looked at him. I turned towards him and smiled.

" Sorry, I'm just weird." I sat back down again. He did the same.

" Aren't we all." He smiled. " Anyway what was that?" He asked.

" Don't you know Wattpad?" I asked him. He shook his head. " Didn't you hear like the name before?"

" Only a few time, but it was all from that girl. She was alway reading stories about..I don't even know." He said. I chuckled.

" Yeah, she likes lot's of anime, and also Ninjago." I smiled. Cole's eyes widen.

" Wait, Ninjago?" He repeated. I nodded my head.

" Yeah, it's a good show. I like it." I said.

" That's it. I remember now." He said. I looked at him. " I'm from Ninjago, I was the Master of Earth and I somehow got cursed to be a ghost."

" No way." I gasped. " I knew something wasn't right with you!!!' I yelled.

" What do you mean something wasn't right?" He said.

" Well, I mean you're from a T.V show, and you're..what?" I walked around in a circle. " Sorry, fangirl moment. Anyway, let me get this straight. First off, how the heck did you get into America."

" Wait, I'm not in Ninjago?" He said. I stopped and looked at him.

" Oh, sorry. I thought we were on the same page." I said. Cole fell into the chair. His eyes seemed lost. " Cole, what really happened to you?"

" I..I was protecting Zane from an attack, but then this thing showed up in front of me. I wasn't Morrow's ghouls, but it was something strange. Zane..he looked like he seen it before, but I didn't have any idea how to react to it."

" What did it look like." I asked. My eyes glowed white, using my powers to look into his mind. I was there. It was in the middle of the battle. I turned around and there it was. It was a horrid beast. It had the body of a wolf, but it's eyes glowed red and a black essence filled it's body. I saw Zane's eyes shaken with fear. One word whispered from his mouth.

Yuki...

" Riku!? Riku, snap out of it!!" I woke up back to reality. " Hey, are you okay-Wow, that's a pretty good drawing." I looked at the paper. My powers allow me to draw what i see even when I'm in the mind.

" Is this what you saw?" I showed him the picture. He looked at it.

" Yeah, except a lot scarier, and it had ghost like features." He stated. I nodded my head.

" One more thing. Has Zane ever said or even talked about the name 'Yuki'." I asked him. Cole rubbed his head.

" Well, every once and awhile he'll whisper that name when he's asleep. After his death and when he found his elemental dragon. That's when it all started." He whispered. I jolted my head.

" What all started?" I asked him. His hand began shaking. " If it's too-"

" No. No, I'm fine." He too a deep breath. " The dreams. Zane would sometimes start yelling that name, but he would never explain to us what it means. I began to wonder that something else happened to Zane when he disappeared. That's when we started our war with the ghost. Then..then."

" Then what?"

Cole began to start shaking with fear. " Then it appeared. None of us knew what it was, not even Morrow did. Only Zane knew what it was; he told me to not get near it. That it would take you away just like Yuki. He was frozen with fear. So just as the creature's mouth opened to swallow Zane in some sort of void I jumped in last minute. Then I ended up in the forest." He finished.

" I'm sorry." I whispered. " I know you don't belong here, and it's my job to find a way to bring you back." He looked at me with a grateful state. " Look, um...it's getting late. You can sleep in my room tonight. Then we'll figure this out in the morning."

" Thank you." He smiled. I nodded my head. We walked down the hallway into my room. " Nice place you got here." He smiled.

" Yeah, well I'm sorry I don't have a rock for you to sleep on." I smiled. He looked at me confused. Then he got it.

" What!! No way, I'm not doing that again!!"

I giggled. " Here just let me take this and yeah. So good night, and yeah." I closed the door behind me. I wonder if he could tell if I was blushing like crazy. I opened the door again. Cole was still sitting there on the bed. " Did you really eat that cake?"

" Well, I haven't had it in a while. So I thought why not." He smiled.

" Of course you would." I smiled then closed the door again. I couldn't sleep so I decided to do some research. I opened the laptop, which was still on Wattpad. Just when I was about to exit out I noticed something on the far corner of the story. " Uh, I don't remember this story." I clicked on it. I didn't recognize the writer nor the story. I started reading it. Then once I finished. I shut the computer closed. "No way, It's almost like it's all a story." I opened the computer.

" Yuki...Yuki, ah here it is." I clicked on the tab. According to the recent news reports Yuki Rose went missing just a few weeks ago. The wolf thing that happened to Cole happened a few weeks ago. The wolf in her story was like the one in Cole's experience. Then the fact that Zane , the first one to go missing and the one saying her name, also knew this beast. Could it be..could be that all this is all connected somehow, and we're just the pawns in a bigger enemy.
