Complicated

Denise's POV

I woke up with a pounding head. I was in my bed and I can hear voices outside my door.

"Wow that's harsh" Tristan said

"I know." Seal said

"Who knew Renzel had a heart and actually loved" Brian said

"I know right" Carson says and I hear the door open and all the guys come in.

"Denise!! You're awake!!" Seal says and runs over to me kissing my forehead

"Yeah...my head is killing me" I say groaning trying to stand up

"Just lay down and rest" Tristan says and I nod

"Where's A?" I ask and everyone turns to Brian

" Wait wait wait last I heard she was with you" Brian says looking at Carson

"Oh yeaaahhhhh she said she was gonna hang out with a friend" Carson says

"She has another friend besides us?" Tristan says and Brian glares at him

"We're not anti social." Brian says and Tristan raises his hands in a surrender manner

"Who's she hanging out with?" Brian asks

"A girl named Mary" Carson replies and my heart sinks

"Who's Mary?" I ask

"They've been hanging out lots. You don't know?" He says and I shake my head. These past few weeks A and I haven't talked at all and it's making me worried.

"I noticed she doesn't hang with us anymore" Tristan says and the rest of us nod

Time Lapse

The next day the 5 of us meet up at school and we see A with another group. Carson goes over to her and the group seems to know him since they greet him happily. The rest of us look at each other confused and Carson comes back with A.

"Hey guys" A says. We reply with a small hello and I get the courage to speak up.

"Hey Adrienne, can we talk?" I ask

"Yeah sure" She says and we go to a place where it's quiet

"Who are your mew friends?" I ask

"Oh yeah! They're cool. I met Mary and she introduced me to the others" She says smiling

"So you hang out with them lots" I say getting a bit angry

"Yeah? So?" She says and I immediately know what she's doing. She knows what's going on.

"Why don't you hang out with us anymore??" I ask and she nods as if she was expecting this

"Why am I not hanging out with??? Oh yeah I don't know Denise. Why are you not minding me anymore?" She says and I look at her confused

"Dear oblivious Denise. You guys forgot about me. Ever since you and Seal got together, you always hang out with him. You're ALWAYS with him! We never hang out anymore. Everytime I try to hang out you're busy with Seal. It's always Seal Seal Seal." she says and I feel guilt replace the anger

"He's all you ever talk about!! And Brian? Lord such a great twin!! All he thinks about his sports and his swimming and his friends. He and Tristan and Seal. Sports sports sports. That is if Seal isn't busy making googly eyes at you. Oh and you know how much of a great friend you are??? You don't know Carson has a girlfriend now and left me heartbroken. Why you don't know? Oh yeah cause when I tried to call you were on a date with Seal. I was so hurt and just needed my best friend and my twin but nooo I was left all alone. Thanks for that." She says and the guilt is unbearable

"And now that I finally found some people who care and who dont forget about me and leave me out and make me feel like a thrid wheel. You come over and ask why I'm fading?! Ohhh bitch you guys faded first. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for you guys. For your relationship. For the sports. But what about me? Do you know about my singing career? About how I got signed? No i don't think so. Mary and the others threw me a party though. So basically I'm just telling you and ALL OF YOU how much of a great friend you guys actually are. Thanks a lot." She says and I can't help but cry and Seal comes and comfort me while Brian tries to talk to his sister.

"Oh wow you're crying. I've cried a lot already and didn't really do anything so I'm through crying over all of you" She says and storms off

I cry and sob. I am such a bad friend....I didn't even notice all this.....and I just lost a great friend who's helped me a lot. Brian starts crying too and Carson, Seal and Tristan looking guilty. To make it worse Renzel comes up to us.

" You really did mess up. I'm sorry if this is mean. But I'm just saying she came up to me yesterday when she found out about me...hurting you... And she yelled at me and defended you. And hearing this...I mean she still defended you even if you've hurt her" She says with pity in her eyes

I cry even more because Renzel has a point. God I'm such a terrible person.
