I saw her staring at me and I immediately got so confident. But when I saw how happy she looked when she recognized the guy. And how he spun her around and she laughed and hugged him tight. How they just burst laughing together and her eyes just look so bright and happy. I couldn't help but think, that should be Me. That should be me making her smile and laugh. I should be the reason why she smiles and why her eyes light up and shine so bright. I should be the one to spin her around and have her in my arms. I should be the one to call her mine.
I know I've always had this certain attraction to Denise but I always pushed it away because he would never go for a guy like me. I was the bad guy who has a reputation for tearing hearts like paper. But Denise was special, I don't think I could ever hurt her.
I snapped back into reality when Tristan sat beside me
"I see how you look at her. You're feelings are coming back aren't they?" Tristan said
"Yeah. And it's not good" i say looking down
"Mate just tell her you like her" he said
"It's not that easy. She likes good guys like Brian. She'd never pick someone as messed up as me. She deserves better. I'm not the one for her and that hurts." I say looking at her and she's laughing with her friends.
"You're falling aren't you?" He said softly
"Yeah. And I'm falling fast."
