Monday morning, I got out of my car, and quickly walked out of the parking lot. I saw the group of Chris, Nila, and the rest of them with the most important addition: Cole. I bit my lip when I saw his muscular frame, messy blonde hair, and I couldn’t wait to see his face, to feel his arms around me, his lips against mine.
"Heeeeey everyone!" I said, drawling the word out.
"Bekka!" Nila squealed, running over to hug me.
"Bekka-boo!" Chris exclaimed.
"Did you guys miss me?" I asked, holding my arms out to my sides.
"Um, yeah," Cole said, smirking at me.
I smiled at him. "Psh. I know you did!" I teased, and I was finally in his arms.
I hugged him tightly, and stood on my tiptoes, kissing his cheek.
"Four days and that's all I get?" he teased me.
I shrugged and smirked. "Sorry! But I still love you," I said.
He smiled down at me, and intertwined our fingers.
"Really Bekka? You've known me for twelve years and you don't even say hi to me? I'm hurt," Chris said, pretending to wipe a tear away.
I laughed. "Sorry Chris!" I walked over and gave him a hug.
"Ah! Bekka!" Grace said, hurrying over with Caroline. She engulfed me in a hug.
"Hey Bekka!" Caroline said.
Everyone else said hey to me and I got about six more hugs.
"Well damn. I didn't get this great of a welcome back," Ashleigh said, crossing her arms.
"It's because nobody likes you, duh," I said sarcastically.
"Obviously," she replied.
I rolled my eyes.
"So what'd I- we- miss?" I asked.
I was standing outside Cole's front door at five that day.
"Bekka! Hello! So nice to see you again!" Cole's mother said, smiling at me when she finally opened the door.
I smiled. "Hello, Mrs. Davidson. It's nice to see you again, too! Is Cole home?" I asked.
She smiled. "Yes. He's in his room. You can go on up," she said, letting me pass her into the house.
"Thanks, Mrs. Davidson!" I said, and I walked upstairs.
With my gracefulness I had- sometimes- I quietly slipped into his room without him hearing me. He was bent over his desk, doing homework. I walked over and grabbed his shoulders.
"Boo!" I said.
He jumped and turned around. "Shit!" he said.
I laughed. "Told you! You are scared of me," I smirked.
He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Please."
"You might as well just admit it," I said.
"I'm not scared of you- you're scared of me," he said.
I smirked. "Okay," I said sarcastically. I walked over ant sat on his bed, leaning back on my arms.
He stood up, still smirking at me. "You should be."
