Chapter 31 - Heartless? (2)

-Third Person POV-

"Nee-san!" Itachi and the rest waited anxiously in the house, and the former greeted as the duo entered the door, and the woman smiled. Itachi frowned slightly after seeing that smile, but decided not to pursue the matter.

"I am sorry to have all of you worry for me." The family exchanged a few puzzled looks, and Itachi decided to speak.

"Are you alright? Did he do anything to you?"

"I'm fine, thank you for your concern. Kakashi-san didn't do anything. If there is nothing else, I'm returning to my room." Yuki bowed to them, and entered her room quietly. The family then turned their attention to Kakashi.

"What did you do to her?" Itachi growled menacingly, and Kakashi shook his head blankly.

"I.. I don't know.. She was like this when I found her.. Oh, she was cutting herself."

Itachi barged into her room immediately, and Yuki looked at him questioningly, before it dawned on her.

"You don't need to worry, Itachi-san. I won't hurt myself anymore." She smiled and said, and a shiver ran down his spine. "Can you leave my room now?" He closed the door, and the face of everyone in the living room darkened.

"Chiaki, contact Tsunade-sama immediately. Tell her we need to know what's wrong with Yuki as soon as possible. Kakashi.. You can go back now. If we find anything wrong with her.." Minato's eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked at Kakashi. "I won't be the one that you have to deal with."

Kakashi left the house without another word, and Chiaki sent out a slug soon after. "She say that she will come back as soon as possible." She read out the message that the slug gave in return. "It's almost time for oka-san's annual check-up."

"What kind of annual check-up?" Minato asked, seeming to catch up to something, but she shook her head blankly.

"It didn't say." The note in her hand then burst into flames. "Somehow.. I feel that oka-san is different.. In a creepy way.."

"You have that feeling too?" Naruto then said, and he shivered. "It feels like.. It feels like.." He scrunched his nose as he searched for the word to describe how he felt, and he saw a doll on the cupboard. "Right! It feels like nee-chan has become a doll!"

"A doll?" Kushina then asked as she frowned. "What does that mean?" Naruto scratched his head as he thought of an answer, but he shrugged in the end, not knowing how to describe the eerie feeling that Yuki gave him.

"I think he means that she feels like a broken doll." Sasuke probed, and Naruto's eyes lit up and nodded furiously. "Like something is missing from her now."

"Emotions." Itachi suddenly said, and everyone looked at him. "Her emotions are void. She called me 'Itachi-san' just now. Normally she calls me 'Itachi' or 'Itachi-chan'. And her tone of speaking is more formal than usual."

"We'll have to wait until Tsunade-sama to arrive before we can confirm anything." Minato finally said. "I just hope that it's not going to be the worst case scenario.."

-Three days later-

Tsunade scowled unhappily as she read through the test results, and slammed the papers on the table. "What the fuck did you do to her?" Kakashi winced slightly, and everyone turned their attention to him.

"Uhh.. How do I put it.." He said as he scratched his face. "You know I've become a frequent drinker after she left.. I got drunk one day, and I woke up in someone else's house.. That person said that I slept with her when I was drunk, although I have no memory about it.. And I remember everything I do.. She then threatened to tell everyone unless I give her monthly allowance.."
