Chapter 16 - New Family Member

-Yuki POV-

I stared at Minato and Kushina lying peacefully in their ice caskets, and I sighed for the umpteenth time. I had been trying my best to wake them up in the past year, but none of my methods worked, and I have no one to consult. Countless toads have also been sent to me, anxious to know my whereabouts, but I have not seen any slugs. The snakes are silent too.

I have not step a foot into the outside world since I shifted everything to this paradise resort, although I know that everyone in the village are concerned about me and Naruto. Jiraiya's toads are only replied with scripts for his books, and they've only distracted him for a certain time before he sends another after remembering his purpose.

I finally tore my gaze away from the slumbering couple, and made my way out of the underwater temple that I built for them. I walked towards the beach, and smiled as I saw the two babies playing with one another in the shallow play pool that I have created.

"Isobu, I'm going to go search for the boy, can your young ones keep an eye on mine? I don't think they can stand the icy weather of village that I'm going to."

"Of course. They love playing with them too." Isobu smiled, and I saw a small turtle splashing water on Naruto.

"Now.. I shouldn't get myself recognized, should I? I don't want the slugs and the snakes to add in to the letter bombing." I joked as I casted a genjutsu to change my appearance, and I looked at my reflection in the waters when I'm done. "Perfect."

I changed my hair colour from black to white, and my eye colour to indigo. I had grown slightly fatter over the year, so I didn't bother to make any alterations to my body.

"Now.. As for clothes.." I changed into the Land of Water's peasant wear that I had prepared beforehand, and pulled the hood of my cloak over my head. My fingers hovered above the hitai-ate tied around my arm, before taking it off and keeping it in a space. "Let's go, Isobu. I remember having a mark there due to previous missions.." I stopped there, not wanting to think about the time that I spent with Team Minato.

Isobu climbed onto my hand and faded away, and I teleported to the location. Luckily for me, its deserted. "Let's see.. Why don't I pay my old village a visit first.." I said in self-sarcasm as I touched my belly absentmindedly, and took out a map. "Eto.. That way. It'll be.. half a day's journey. Seems like I'm lucky." I then put away the map and started walking.

I caught some snowflakes in my palm, and watch them melt away. Soon, I arrived at the village. "Wow. This place changed a lot.." I muttered as I walked closer, and people looked at me warily. I then walked into a bar to get information.

"Sumimasen, is there a female by the name of Yuki living in this village? My family has sent me out to find my long-lost sister, and I had visited a few villages before this, but I couldn't find her. If she isn't here I'll move on to the next village." I asked the bartender, and I could hear a laugh echoing inside my head.

"Do you have a better idea, then? You saw how wary the villagers are. They'll tie me up if I just walked around their village. Besides, the best clue I have is that the mother is part of the Yuki clan. If I don't do this I can only sneak around at night." I snapped in my head, and the laugh stopped.

"Yuki.. I believe there's a family living at the edge of the village. The wife's name is Yuki if I didn't remember wrongly. They rarely come here, so you might want to check to make sure." The bartender then gave me a look, and I passed a pouch of coins to him secretly. He weighed it in his hands, before pointing at the door. "Turn right, and follow the road. Their house is at the end of the road."

I thanked him again and walked out, and I noticed something.

"Aw man. I sense Kirigakure ninjas closing in on the village. What business do they have in this shitty village anyway? They've kidnapped another child?" I complained to Isobu mentally, and he started laughing again. "They'll be here by nightfall.. I'd better get the hell out before they arrive.."
