The Comeback

Chapter 11

*TOBIAS POV*

Tris and Christina having been hugging for the past 5 minutes. She's happy, which makes me happy.
They're here. I see a tall man walk through the door.
'Zeke?' the man turns around, he grins from ear to ear. 'FOUR' he comes running over, crashing into me, giving me a man hug. 'Dude, why didn't you tell us about this? We were worried something happened' he's acting like a girl right now. 'I had to go solo' then I whisper 'them pansycakes don't know what they're doing, it's embarrassing' I gesture to Christina and Peter, Zeke laughs.

Another man walks in, Caleb. His eyes are fixed on Tris. I will not let him ruin her mood. I walk over to him, stopping his movement. 'Stay away from her, she's happy, leave her alone' he nods and I walk away before he can speak.

I notice that Peter and Cara are here. Great.

Tris walks over to me and smiles. 'I can't believe they found us' she exclaims. Her eyes wander across the room until her smile falters, she's looking at Peter and Caleb. 'What are they doing here?' she spits.

'One thing to know about Peter is that he doesn't remember initiation, he can't even remember David, it's pretty funny, to be honest' I laugh and Tris looks amused.

*TRIS POV*

I glance at my brother and Peter. The memories of death and initiation hit's me.

'Hey, it's Tris right?' Peter speaks, he's different, he was pretty selfless to wipe his own memory. 'Yeah... you don't remember me, you nearly threw me off the chasm' he looks at me blankly. 'The first thing I remember is sitting opposite that guy (points at Tobias) in the truck going somewhere called the Bureau'.

Tobias walks over and places his hand on my hip, tugging me in for a hug. 'Is he bothering you?' he grins. The protective boyfriend is in the zone.

I chuckle 'no, he seems new, distant, I like it' he smiles and Peter remains still, awkwardly.

I start to feel like someone is watching me. I look to my right and I see my brother glaring at Tobias's hand across my back. What is his problem? Tobias catches on and looks at Caleb. 'Four, why is he staring at us?' I ask, has something happened that I don't know about?

Caleb starts to walk over and Tobias turns, guiding me with him. 'Why are you doing that to my sister?' he asks. Excuse me? 'Well..' I stare at him, puzzled as to why he's acting like this 'Caleb, what is your problem?' I ask. 'You are my sister, and seeing as dad isn't around anymore, I am the only man you would need, we're from abnegation after all' he spits. Really? 'I bet dad wouldn't hand me off to a murderer, or be selfless enough to let his daughter save his life huh? Rethink what you are saying because Four is the only man I need, you, on the other hand, I still don't understand why I went into that room for you. Coward' I scream.

I get out of Tobias's grip and run out of the room. Why does my life revolve around idiocy and criminals?

I slam my back against the wall and start to sob. I hear shouting. Tobias. He's always defending me even though I have been a coward to him. Then I hear a body slam onto the ground and Cara screaming.

I get up, wiping my tears and running towards to the room. My brother is on the floor. Blood trickles down his nose. 'Four what happened?' he looks at me, Caleb slouches against the wall, Peter sits by him with a first aid kit. 'He got what he deserved, he shouldn't treat you like that, you died for him, he could at least have some respect for your options in life' I notice he has a small cut under his eyebrow 'Lets clean that up' I point to some tissue.

'Thank you' I say.

He looks at me and smiles. 'Only for you, I love you, always' and we kiss.
