*CALEB POV*
I deserved it. Everything I've done to her, I don't deserve this right to live, be in her presence.
She hasn't spoken to me since. Sitting next Four and Christina, laughing about something I will never know.
'Hey Caleb, you ok?' Peter asks, he seems like the only friend I have at the moment. 'Yeah, I'll be fine' I reply, with not much emotion in me.
I look up to see that Four is out the room, gone to get dauntless cake I guess. However Christina is with her. I need to apologise. I killed her, twice. I tore her when she had no family.
I'm the only family she has left, but only if she forgives me.
That will be impossible.
*TRIS POV*
Four went to get some cake and drinks. It honestly feels good to have a boyfriend and best friend by my side.
After what Caleb did to me, they've been there, picking up the pieces.
'Soooo... Did you and Four do some addition and multiplication?' She grins. Is she serious? 'Really, I've been in a coma for two years, beaten to near death for a day, also running away from the bureau... How would I have time?' I laugh, she soon joins but raises her eyebrow. This girl kills me.
'Beatrice' I hear someone say. I ignore it, I know who it is. Coward.
'Please Beatrice, talk to me, I'm sorry, I'm just trying to take this all in ok, you're my only famil..' I paused him, I don't need to hear his apologies, it's like the 5th one since I saw him in erudite... my first death. 'I'm never going to accept your pity Caleb, you ruined me. You never understand how I feel or anyone else, you don't even believe in yourself' I exclaim. I get up off the floor and stand right in his face.
'You may be my brother, but you aren't my family anymore. I left that family long ago, I have my family, one you aren't apart of. I did love you once, but that was in abnegation. That first betrayal, turned you into a traitor. If dad never forgave you, so will I' I spit.
I see water rising in his eyes. 'HEY I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM HER' I hear Tobias shout. I walk away from Caleb and grab some of the cake Tobias brought in.
'I'm sorry, I'll stay out of your life...forever' he says walking off.
I do hope so. Traitor.
