Ellie's POV:
I showed Ryder all around the house. The kitchen, living room, cellar, dining room. Then we went upstairs."This is your room. I know it's not much but at least it's something." I smiled. "It's perfect. Thanks. Way better than at my barn." He chuckled. I smiled.
I think he'd like it here.
We walked around for a while and we made our way to the back yard. "Oh...I'm sorry. what happened?" He asked nervously when he saw dads grave. "Well you did wonder why we needed a farmhand, didn't you?" I said softly, timidly.
"I'm sorry....were you close?" He asked. "Well my dad and I had a special bond. We hunted all the time and went on trail rides. I just miss him. I'll be okay. I don't know if you saw that ghost inside but that's my mom. She's just a shell of what she used to me. She was full of life and happy, she made dinner every night. Now she's empty of emotions and doesn't do much. She's just here." I sighed. "I'm sorry." He mumbled quietly. We walked back in the house.
"It's getting late, you should get some sleep. I'll be down the hall if you need anything." I said and we parted ways.
