Ellie's POV:
When I awoke alone on the couch in the morning, I went upstairs and changed into different clothes and braided my hair after I took a quick shower.
I walked outside to the barn where Ryder was. "Hey..." He stuttered. "What's your problem?" I joked around. "Last night...you...never mind." He sighed.
Oh god.
"What did I do?" I asked. "You said you loved me..." He said finally.
I was silent for a while. "I'm really sorry...I didn't mean to lead you on... Please don't the it the wrong way. I was just really tired and-" he cut me off in the middle of my sentence.
"No, no don't apologize it's fine it's okay. I get it I totally understand." He said quickly. I felt really bad.
The strange thing is that I felt wrong saying I didn't like him. Did I?
