Uneasy

Chapter 2

"Niya wake up." Lauren said shaking Daniya.

"Ight I'm woke damn." Daniya replied getting irritated.

"John beating up on mama again." Lauren whispered. "Aaaaa!" They heard someone scream. She hopped off of her naked mattress and rushed out of the room.

There laid her mother with bruises and knots on her face. "Momma you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah she okay mind yo own business hoe." Her step dad yelled.

"Momma talk to me." Daniya said with tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Bitch I said she alright." Her step dad yelled this time pushing Daniya down to the ground.

"What the fuck is wrong with you , I hate you!" Daniya screamed.

The room went silent for a second and in the next she was getting punched and bruised up just like her mother. The room looked blurry to Daniya now.

"Stop it." Lauren screamed but it didn't help.

"Now bitch learn to keep yo mouth closed." He yelled before leaving and slamming the door behind him.

Lauren watched her sister cough up blood and tear escaped her eye.

"How long is this gonna go on!" Danoya screamed standing to her feet.

"Huh Jane how long?" Daniya asked. Her mother smacked her.

"Now I am your mother and you will not talk to me like that." She yelled.

"Lauren pack your stuff." Daniya said looking her mother in the eyes with her tearful ones.

"Oh so now you gon leave?" Her mother asked.
Daniya ignored her and began walking to her room and packing her bags.
"You hear me mother fucker?!" Her mother yelled. Daniya turned around and smacked her mother to the floor.

"This is the last night you treat me and Lauren like shit ma and you know what fuck you... I am so tired of this shit we love you and you just don't love us back..." Daniya said trailing off.

"We leaving and we ain't never coming back you crack head bitch." Daniya said before snatching her bag and leaving her mother in tears on the floor.

"Where are we gonna go now?" Lauren asked.

Daniya ignored her question and continued to walk.
"Where are we going!?" Lauren yelled.

"I don't know I'll figure it out." Daniya yelled before sitting on a bench on the sidewalk.

"Let's just go home." Lauren said yawning.

"No I'm not going back, not ever you go back if you want." Daniya said angrily.

Lauren stood there for a second then gave in and sat next to her sister.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell, I'm just frustrated." Daniya said looking over at her sister.

"Yeah girl I like it down here its some nice parts on thus side of town and some bad ones but you know how that go but Imma call back ..OK bye." A woman said leaving a nearby store.

Lauren sat there shivering in Daniya's arms.

"Hey you look pretty cold you girls got somewhere to be this time of night?" The woman asked.

Daniya shook her head no.
"I know my daughter would be home right now and not out at this time of night. They remained silent afraid to speak.

"Well okay then have a nice night." The woman said with a awkward smile as she walked off but something bothered her causing her to stop.
"Do you girls really not have anywhere to stay tonight?" She asked.
