Two days Later

Daniya woke up next Jaylen. She was glad he was still sleep. The sun shined through the window she walked past but a little sunshine couldn't even make her smile with all the darkness she was feeling.

She carefully closed the bathroom door behind her making sure she didn't wake him.

A big red swollen bruise sat on her cheek when she looked in the mirror. There was scratches on her arms. A healing scab on her lip that was previously a busted lip.

It was from the day they came home from Keshawn's house. Jaylen was an abusive 16 year old. Surprised yet ?

A tear rolled down Daniya's face as she stared at her reflection.

"Stop looking at it ..I don't want you think about it." Jaylen said scaring Daniya.

Daniya didn't respond. "Look Kmoni got a got a doctors appointment ..to check up on how her body's adapting to the baby." Jaylen said wrapping his arms around her.

"Yeah I got an appointment in a couple of days anyway." Daniya responded.

"Yeah you gon kill it right?" Jaylen asked.

"Jaylen I can't kill Keshawn's kid ,let alone mine." Daniya pleaded.

"Yeah whatever fuck you and that baby ,shit it ain't mine anyway." Jayken said beginning to strip out of his clothes and take a shower.

"How could you say that, Don't you love me?" Daniya asked.

"I'd love you a lot more if you would kill that baby in your stomach." He responded.

"Kmoni's not killing hers so why the fuck I gotta kill mine?" Daniya yelled.

"Bitch because that's my baby, yours ain't mine so kill that mother fucker or I'll do it for you." He said before getting into the shower.

"What happened to the sweet thug,the boy who was gon rescue me from who come to think of it, I didn't even need to be rescued from." Daniya said.

Jaylen didn't speak, he just ignored her.

"Yeah I thought so, I'm gone and don't try to stop me." Daniya said.

Jaylen grabbed a towel and rushed after her. He grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the floor.

"If ever try to leave me, Imma kill you and that baby and that's on me." He yelled.

"What's all that damn noise in here!?" Jaylen's mother yelled as she burst into the room.

"Get the fuck out ma, this ain't none of yo business." Jaylen said.

"This is my house boy." She yelled in a drunk tone.

"But don't I pay the bills in this bitch so get the fuck out before I kick yo ass to." He said breathing heavily.

She looked at Daniya on the ground rubbing her head then quickly left the room.

"Get some fucking clothes on and let's go." Jaylen said before walking back to his morning shower.

"XRateD be lit boyyyy." Kmoni said as they walked in.

"On my momma it do look all this ass shaking." Jaylen said as he placed his arm around Daniya.

"Ayeeee come on Daniya we finna turn up." Kmoni said as she snatched Daniya to the bar.

"Lemme get some ciroc." Kmoni said as she sat down.

"Kmoni your pregnant." Daniya said.

"Not for long." Kmoni said.

"What?" Daniya asked.

"Nun let's go dance." Kmoni responded as she took a sip of her ciroc.

They danced for awhile. A lot of dudes where checking Daniya and Kmoni out. Although Daniya had a fat bruise on her face.

"Alright all the couples to the middle of the dance floor." The DJ said as he Began to play bonnie and Clyde by tink.

Daniya looked around the room and made accidental eye contact with Jaylen.

She didn't want to dance with him though because it would look like they were in love and every day she hated him more. She sat back down at the bar. Kmoni danced with some random cute guy.

"Look at all these people dancing together like they love each other...love don't exist." She mumbled to herself.

"She looked around and saw Kaya and Keshawn walk in to the club. Her heart dropped. She almost felt excited you could say. Kaya said something to Keshawn then walked to the bathroom. Keshawn went and sat at a table.

As Daniya made her way to the bathroom she made eye contact with Keshawn. Kaya was looking at herself at the mirror but she stopped when she saw Daniya.

"I'm am so tired of seeing you." She mumbled shaking her head as she tried to walk out.

"Stop." Daniya said grabbing her arm. Kaya snatched it away. "Don't touch me we not coo." She yelled.

"Kaya I'm sorry." Daniya said.

"Sorry ?, You don't gotta be sorry, you decided to leave and that was it." Kaya said.

"I shouldn't have." Daniya said looking down.

"Oh now you think about it, You just left your little sister and after all my momma did for you." Kaya said. Daniya remained silent as a tear fell to the ground.

"I was your bestfriend you could've let me help but you just left us and went to be with some boy." Kaya said. Daniya still remained speechless.

"I didn't mean to hurt you Kaya, I just wasn't thinking straight that night." Daniya said.

"Well you hurt me, My momma, Keshawn and mostly Lauren so just stick to Jaylen since he's your main priority." Kaya said before walking off.

"Kaya I need you please." Daniya yelled out. Kaya ignored her.

"I'm pregnant." Daniya yelled causing Kaya to stop and turn around.

"Say that again." Kaya said.

"..I'm pregnant." Daniya mumbled.

"Why are you telling me ?,Jaylen will take care of it with his luh drug dealing money." Kaya said sarcastically.

"Its not Jaylen...." Daniya said walking up to Kaya. Kaya's face grew a frightened look.

"Then who's is it?" Kaya asked.

"...Keshawn's." Daniya said.
