In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it. - Mitch Albom, Five People You Meet in Heaven

Ever since I turned twenty-one, my friends and I have been going out every weekend. My father even got used to not seeing me everyday. I would get the occasional text How are you baby? I haven't seen you. ;) I didn't really enjoy my father's presence so my replies are short and sweet.

Today happened to be a few days after Colin's birthday. We decided to go to our regular bar that we go to every Saturday. On the weekends, Friday and Saturday, they turn from a pub to a club. And that's the way we really like it.

Today a DJ took over the stage, it wasn't the regular guy, but he was still pretty decent. I had a vodka lemonade in my hand as Paula finished drinking her vodka redbull. Vlad was with us, standing just behind me with his Stella, his drink of choice. We invited Ruby and Katy but, they fell through. Ruby was off being her Ruby self, having all the sex with all the people. But Katy was just really tired from school and work.

Vlad had this splendid idea to invite Viktor. Which worked out, cause more people is more fun, cannot lie. But we didn't always like him. He's a guy who worked with us too, but he was thirty whatever and a perv. But I did love him, not like... uh... guys. I loved him like a friend, he was super funny and great to get along with. So he was always a great decision to bring. Also, he always tagged along no matter what.

"First we gotta find Colin in this mess." I told Paula.

She downed her drink and traded the empty cup with the bartender for a full one. The people was squeezing around us, barely giving us room to breathe. And the tenders were rushing back and forth, trying to accommodate all. The music was so loud that I wanted to be drunk.

"He's probably with Cristian." she said, more like yelled.

And Vlad being typical Vlad, joined into the convo after not hearing the first part of it.

"Hey, where's Colin? We came here for him and yet he can't show?" he laughed.

I shook my head. "He's probably already drunk guys."

Somebody elbowed my back, now I know I;m in a bar. I cringed but shook it off and tried scanning the crowd for Colin. But to now alas.

"Wanna dance while we wait?" Paula asked, a smile pushing at her cheeks.

"Eh, sure." I said.

Viktor had joined up with us, so we greeted him then left both him and Vlad for the dance floor. The DJ could've been better. But, whatever. A bunch of people joined us on the floor as we danced our hearts away to some EDM. And that's when we found Colin, jumping with his friends.

"Colin!" both Paul and I yelled across the floor.

He stopped dead in his tracks and smiled at us. His small eyes barely visible because of how big he was smiling. We ran over to him, squeezing ourselves passed people dancing, making out, or being fucking weird.

"Guys!" he took us into an embrace. "Hey!"

"Happy Birthday MOTHERFUCKER!" We yelled, laughing in between.

"Guys!!" he smiled.

We pulled away and smiled at the rest of his friends, which happened to be people we did not recognize, other that Cristian. They seemed pretty tipsy already by the way none of them couldn't stand straight. Colin seemed more put together tonight, might be the way he dressed, a little smarter than usual, or because he was wearing a very nice cologne. We'll never know.
