Chapter 10

I'm greeted by a wet overcast and very foggy morning, it's 6.47am right now. Since I'm not going to school for the rest of the week why not do the funnest thing possible, hang at Bluestone and practice on Storm. Emily and I woke up around 6am, since then, she's been slowly getting ready for school while doing last minute studying. She had a test today, meaning unfortunately she couldn't have the whole day off. But Emily's mom is picking her up early and dropping her off at Bluestone.

"I'll see you later at Bluestone Em, bye!" I yell as I exit her busy home, a blast of cool air hitting me.

The sun was rising slowly, my shoes crunching as I cross to the other side. I reach my house in less then a minute and walk up the pathway, pulling out the keys. Quietly I unlock the door and open it before slowly closing it without making a noise. I continue to walk up stairs to my room then close my bedroom door behind me. I walk into my closet and look in the area where my riding gear was before deciding to grab a dark grey polo, navy breeches, my tall boots and gloves. After changing into the clothes, I pack a few things into my bag that I always take to Bluestone. When I'm done, I grab my bike and ride over to Bluestone, leaving a note for my parents.

Since it was the morning, there aren't many people around. I let Hailey know I was here and that Emily will show up later before going to get Storm from his stall. He's just finished his meal for the morning. I decided in the end to stay in his stall instead and groom him down. As I brush him, Hailey sticks her head over the stall.

"You're spending a lot of time here lately, I must say Storms looking better then ever lately, if that's even possible" Hailey states smiling.

"Yeah, well I haven't got anything better to do and I probably won't see him ever again after I leave for Elliot Falls" I mutter, continuing to brush him.

"I wouldn't say that, I've probably have seen your mom more then you lately, with that owner of his" Hailey says shrugging, I pause mid-stroke but then continue brushing Storm. It was probably about the show. No need to get my hopes up.

"Probably just show stuff" I shrug.

"Probably, but those two look like they are up to something. I would keep an eye and ear out" Hailey says suspiciously before heading off to the feed room.

I begin to put on Storms tack along with his polos. It was dressage today. Once I'm done, I hop on Storm and head to the indoor arena. Everything outside was still wet and could be dangerous if I try to ride. After walking a few laps at a walk I start thinking of what I should do this morning that won't make Storm tired for our lesson this afternoon at 4:30pm.

Whilst I come up with some ideas I notice someone walk in with a horse in tow, it was Breeze, Tiffanys horse. A couple and a girl about my age then follow the rider and mare in. I come to the realisation that it was Tiffany's mom, Annabelle. She's also a rider who comes around every now and then to see how they are. Believe it or not but she is super nice to me, unlike her daughter. Taking my eyes off of the adored mare, I stay at the other end of the arena to give Annabelle her own space with Breeze. I start doing 20 meter circles with Storm at a trot changing direction every few laps, then when Storm has settled I roll him into a even paced canter then practice some flying lead changes until we perfect it. After that I try out some leg yielding, and since I'm not the greatest, I keep doing it until I get it right. Eventually I'm starting to get the hang of it and Storm is performing like a super star, even though he already knows how to do it. This reminds me about the half passes, maybe if we are doing dressage this afternoon I could ask Hailey to teach me since I have yet to learn it.

Deciding to finish up after an hour or so, I walk around my end of the ring and notice the girl that was about to mount Breeze was wearing an EFA Team jacket. I would know since I've been dying to buy one ever sine I first saw it. Curiosity was killing me, why is Annabelle here instead of Tiffany? Why is this girl about to ride Breeze? Why are they riding her in the first place? Tiffany hates it when people ride her horse. The girl hops onto the mare and looks at ease, and somehow it's like they've been together for a long time. She asks her for a walk then heads into a smooth trot working in harmony.
