Chapter 16

The clicking of my crutches against the stone pathway at my house is the only thing I could hear, it was strangely quite today. Mum was still in the car looking around for something.

I look down at my leg in victory, I ended up getting exactly what I wanted, a turquoise short leg cast which looks awesome by the way. Along with that I got crutches and a bandaged up elbow, luckily the fracture isn't that bad so I can still move my arm. My concussion wasn't that bad either and is already gone.

I reach into my pocket and grab the keys out while putting all my weight into my good leg. I unlock the door and push it open to then be greeted by Lucy and who bounces around excitedly. I somehow manage to get up the stairs without killing myself and hop off to my room. Oh the fun of it all, note sarcasm. I fling open my bedroom door and flop onto my bed groaning in annoyance.

I can't even ride for 6 weeks, maybe even more, no one has told about Storm and if he's okay, oh and let's not forget, I'm going to that tour day thing this Friday. Dads went off somewhere yet again, the parent of the year award definitely goes to him.

Oh and I was suppose to go back to the EA reward ceremony on Friday but that never happened so now I'm getting my awards posted to my house. I'm brought out of my little self pitying moment when my home phone rings.

"Can you get that Taylor!" my mum yells from her room.

"Yeah yeah I'm getting it" I call back hopping up the hall and picking up the phone.

"This is Taylor speaking" I said into the phone feeling like a receptionist.

"Oh my lord your such a looser, have you fallen off the face of the planet or something? Get over here now!" someone yells through the phone. I blink, once, twice, three times and remain silent.

"Well good afternoon to you too Mia, how's your day?" I ask jokingly.

"Don't 'how's your day' to me thanks, meet me at Scarlett's" Mia commands. I start laughing thinking it's a joke but stop when I realise she's not kidding.

"Well that'll kind of be hard since I don't know where she is staying at and that mum is going all out with the whole 'don't let Taylor do anything outside of the house' so good luck with that idea" I tell her sighing.

"Who is it Taylor" mum calls from her bedroom.

"It's Mia" I call back.

"Pass the phone to her" Mia commands.

"Fineeee" I drag out.

"Mum, Mia wants to talk to you" I yell.

Mum walks out of her room and over to me looking suspicious, I shrug and hop back into my room. I decide to change into some black leggings and a grey tee before brushing my hair again.

"Taylor, we're heading over to Sierra and Scarlett's hotel, hurry up" I hear mum yell. Trust Mia to talk someone into a deal.

...

"Hey-" I begin to greet the two girls but I'm cut off when they drag me down the hallway.

"Wait up will you, if I walk any fast I'll brake my good leg" I whine.

I'm then pushed into onto a chair, jeez what's the rush?

"We need your help!" Mia says.

"My parents want to send me up to Canada to a relatives place without Star, and Scarlett's want her to go to London with them while Breeze and Major, her other horse are back here!" Mia says throwing her hands in the air.

"And your telling me because...?" I say trailing off slightly confused.

"Do we really need to spell it out for you, we need a place to stay and we decided why not stay at your place, we can agist our horses at Bluestone or something" Scarlett says.

"My place?" I ask again

"Yes, your place" Scarlett says exasperated.

"Well I haven't got a problem although I haven't known you guys for long so what's makes you think that I don't think your murderers or something?" I ask with my hands on my hips, they both narrow their eyes on me.

"Real mature Taylor" Mia says.

"Fine, I'll talk to mum" I said laughing.

"Oh my goodness, your a life saver, thanks so much" Mia says jumping up and hugging me.

"My second cousin up in Canada is always trying to ruin my life and mess with my riding, horrid girl she is" Mia adds shaking her head and shuddering.

"As nice as London is I prefer to be riding, and if you think of it this way we're doing you a favour, we can help take care of Storm with you" Scarlett says shrugging.

"Yeah I guess so" I respond, I hope I don't regret this.
