It was Monday today. My parents thought that it was safe to send me back to school since my "condition" wasn't that bad.

I was up and ready, as mopey as before. I didn't want anyone to see the mark on my hand. It was mine to look at. Alexa, what are u saying? I thought to myself. It's like it wasn't even my own voice in my head. I wasn't myself. I still listened to the person in my head and put on a jacket that had holes in them for a place for my thumbs. It was enough to hide the mark.

I was alot paler than before and I seemed to have aged. My parents took notice of it and let the doctor know. They scheduled an appointment for next Friday. I WASN'T looking forward to it. My school was closer to the house, so I was dropped off first. It still took 10 minutes due to traffic, but they somehow managed.

I gave them all a side hug and waved good bye, trying to act normal, even though I knew my brain was messed up. I walked up to the school. It was still pretty early, so everyone just hung out. There were boys who would always stare at me, trying to pull. I would usually just laugh at them and brush them off, but with my messed up head, of course, I snapped.

"Hey lil'mama. Why don't you come over with your fine ass?" he walked up and gripped my arm. I yanked my arm back.
"STOP TRY'NA TOUCH ME AND GET A REAL GIRL FOR ONCE! YOU'RE NOT SLICK, YOU'RE A HOE!" I snapped.

He's no gentleman. I couldn't let him put his dirty hands on me.

"What the hell is your problem?" he said, grabbing my arm even tighter. "Get off me!" people started to stare. I felt tense, getting angrier. Oh no... Hold back the blood, hold it back Alexa! I thought to myself, trying to release his hand. Next thing you know, an unfamiliar voice spoke up. "Yo man leave the girl alone, jerk!"

"Who do you think you're talking to, Freshman?" he evily smirked. I still didn't know this guy's name. All I knew was that he was a Softmore who thought he was good with the ladies. He was wrong.

"Last thing I checked, I was looking directly at you. " he mocked. The Softmore jumped at the Freshman, ready to punch him, but Mr. Freshman dodged his attack and headed straight for me, grabbing my hand and running away with me.

We stopped and ended up in the court yard. The teachers were to busy to care about what us kids do, so we weren't getting in trouble any time soon.

"Why did you help me?" a softer side of me came out. Even though I wanted to strangle each and every person I saw for no reason, he made me feel different. Maybe it was because he helped me. Next thing I knew, blood was streaming from my nose to my lips.

"I don't think you should worry about that. Instead, worry about your bleeding!" he said, taking me to the nearest water fountain.

I had no choice but to pull my sleeve up in order to splash water on my face, which meant revealing the print. Hopefully he wouldn't notice. After I got done, I was about to wipe off the water with the inside of my jacket, but instead, he gave me his.

I smiled for the first time in forever. Wow.

I took it from him, drying my face. "So, Alexa, I'm Jackson. Jackson Abrigo. Nice to finally meet you." he smiled. I looked up and glared at him. "Hi... " I said in a shakey tone.

How do you know my name?
