---------------------------------------------------
A week has passed and I was on my "break" from school. Ugh... THREE DAY SUSPENSION. My parents were furious when they heard the news, but got over it when I explained to them what had happened. I had more night mares the few passed nights. Instead of me waking up to a hammer in my hand, I woke up to a voice in my head, telling me that this was just the beginning. I just shook it off. Honestly, I think I'm just going crazy. My parents knew Chelsea. And knowing the incident at school wasn't really our fault, they let her come over. She was a good kid, so they had no problem with it, but when they heard about a boy coming over, their whole expression changed.
"A boy!? " my mom screeched, excitedly. "Yes... " I replied, kind of awkwardly. "DEFINITELY NOT." my father boomed. What did he expect would happen? It's not like we're gonna do anything sneaky. Plus, they know me. I'm not running away with any guy, any time soon.
"Honey, leave the girl be. There's nothing wrong with having a boy over. And if you're that worried, then they can stay in the living room, directly in our view." my mom protested. She didn't have to defend me like that, though. I was fine with just Chelsea coming over, I was just concerned for him. Buuuuutt... I guess it was something more than that... I blush in my thoughts of him, but ducked so my parents wouldn't see.
"Ugh, alright fine. But I don't want him any where near your room. Understood?" my dad grumbled. He's a butt sometimes. "Yes, I understand."
An hour has passed and my two babes came over. We basically just sat on the couch and talked. Jackson and I sat on the couch together across from Chelsea. She just stared at us and raised her eyebrow, smiling. Then, she performed that old school trick to let us be alone. "Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom." she said, walking off and winking at me. I blushed a little. Why would she do that to me!?
I looked over at Jackson who was looking down at his shoes. I felt terrible. His nose split from the fight and his lip was busted. I just wanted to pull him into my embrace, but then he looked up. I quickly shifted my head to make it look like I wasn't looking at him at all. I bet he knew I was!
"So..." I heard his voice say. I smiled. "You know, before I met you, I was alot different for the past three days. I guess what I'm trying to say is that... You changed me... " I blurted out. He looked up at me, shocked. Was it something I said?
"Um, sorry I didn't mean to-" "No, it's fine. Actually, I was thinking the same thing." he stopped me from saying anything more and went into his story.
"When I was younger, my parents died in a fire. I had no idea, until I found out in a way I didn't want to.
I got sent to a Foster home and never saw my parents again. Then I realized something was wrong. I was eight when my foster parents decided it was okay to tell me. Two years. TWO YEARS IVE GONE WITHOUT KNOWING!" he started to shed tears. I was about to cry with him, until I pulled him into a hug. He gained his strength back and continued with the story. "I shut everyone out. I didn't talk to anyone after that. My heart, my soul, my mind... everything felt empty. I began to realize that they were never coming back, so I loosened up a bit. But I still didn't talk to anyone but people I trusted. I never recovered though... Until I met you.." I looked at him. His eyes sparkled! UGH don't look at me like that! I thought to myself. We stared at each other for a moment."Um... Enough about me. Your turn!" he said, wiping a dried up tear from is cheek. I smiled. Can I trust him? I looked into his eyes again. Yes... Yes I can.
"Well..." I started off nervous. "I was normal, honestly." I chuckled. "But... I don't know. It's hard to explain. I found a crate in my living room and opened it up that night. There was this... Print... And a hammer. I was on my bed one night and heard noises, so I jumped up from the bed and stepped on a nail that dug into my skin. I lost so much blood I passed out. My mom took care of me, but another crazy thing happened. I was... Sleep walking? I ended up slamming the same hammer into my hand and lost more blood, so I woke up in the hospital. I saw the same print from the crate on my hand." I lifted the sleeve of my jacket I started wearing ever since that day. I showed him the print and his eyes widened. "Ever since then, I've been acting strange. But then you came along. You kept me sane, even after one look. You're a drug to me." I said, making sure he didn't think I was crazy.
The most craziest thing happened to me just then. Without realizing it, Jackson gently pinched my chin and pulled me in for a kiss. He placed his soft, thin lips on mine and kept them there. This is what my dad was afraid of, huh? I giggled in my head. My face was a bright red. I didn't know I could blush so much! The moment lasted.... Until a scream came from down the hall.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
