         “Lela I love you and I always have. I know I’m the man that can make you happy for the rest of your life. We are meant to be together and I promise you no other man can love you as much as I do. No man can treat you like the queen you are. If you let me I’ll take away all of your fears and I’ll fight all your battles. I want to take care of you for as long as we live” he said. “Wait, wait, wait a minute. Where is this coming from” I said interrupting him. “Lela I’m in love with you! I can’t stop thinking of you. I see you in my dreams, as soon as I wake up I think of you lying next to me every day” he continued. “Ok your starting to scare me is everything ok” I asked. “Yes, I love you and I just don’t want you to make a mistake before it’s too late. Tell me you don’t feel something between us too” he said. “I love you too and there is something between us that I cherish but I” started to say before I was interrupted. “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THERE IS SOMETHING THAT YOU CHERISH AND YOU LOVE HIM” Antonio said coming out of Our Kitchen yelling at the top of his lungs. “Wait baby you don’t understand I was…”. “I heard what you were saying” Antonio said. “Look man I’m in love with Lela and…” he started to say. “I always knew in the back of my mind that you wanted her but never did I think she felt the same way” Antonio said walking up to Marvin with his fist balled up. “No baby it’s not what you think, I was trying…”. Smack! “Ah” I cried out as I fail to the floor. “Lela” Antonio and Marvin screamed out in unison. “You hit me, I can’t believe you fucking hit me” I said grabbing my face. “Lela I didn’t mean to hit you, you got in the…”. Smack! I slapped him before he could finish saying anything” Get the fuck away from me, we are through” I said taking the ring off my finger and dropping it on the floor. “Lela are you ok? I am” Marvin started saying as he put his arms around my shoulders. “Just leave me alone” I said pushing Marvin in his chest “go away both of you”. “What happened” Nicole asked grabbing my hand away from my face. “Nothing, I just finally opened my eyes before I made the biggest mistake of my life” I said walking off. “Lela” Antonio yelled from a distant while Nicole held him back from chasing after me.

        All night I laid in the bed playing I’m Going Down by Mary J Blige on repeat that song fit my mood best. Knock, knock, knock someone bang on the door like someone was chasing after them and needed to get in to safety. “I know you’re in there Lela” Marvin and Nicole shouted out through the door. I just turned the music up in hope that they would leave soon and song along “Look what you done to me, I can’t stop these tears from falling down my eyes, Oh baby…”. The next morning I awoken to hearing the door unlock. Damn I didn’t even think about changing the lock last night I thought. I got up and ran to lock the bed room door. “Lela we need to talk and this time I’m not leaving till we do. I refuse to lose you again” Antonio said shaking the door knob to the bed room. “Well you should have thought about that before you hit me” I yelled back. “Baby you have to believe me I didn’t mean to hit you, I was going for Marvin” he stated. “I don’t have to believe shit you say get out my house before I call the police” I yelled knowing I would never call the police on him. “Baby please just talk to me” he said. “There’s nothing to say” I said crying. “Baby I am sorry for jumping to conclusions and I promise I will never do it again, I’ll go to counseling if it means you will give us a fighting chance” he said. I didn’t say anything I just sat on the bed crying. He was quite to so I thought he left. But he went and got a screw driver to unlock the door. I was looking for things to put in front of the door but he got the door open within seconds. “Go away” I said running to get things and throw at him. “Please Lela, I’m sorry” he said grabbing me. “I don’t care let me go” I said squirming to get free but all he did was tighten his grip as he forced me on the floor. “We need to talk” he said climbing on top of me to keep me from getting up. “No” I said. “Lela” he started to say. “Let me go your hurting me” I said crying out loud. He immediately let me go and got off of me as I got up and ran into the bathroom. There was no lock on the door so I just sat in front of it. “I’m going to call the police if you don’t leave right now Antonio, I’m serious you done enough damage” I said still crying. “Fine Lela I’ll give you, your space but don’t take too long” he said finally leaving.
