I kept walking on the streets until I found a bench and sat down trying to think. "Why are you here" I asked knowing Elijah was sitting next to me. "I'm here to get our family back" he said "why do you do this to yourself" Elijah asked.
"Do what" "hide your feelings for her" "who" "Star" he said a little annoyed "you like her". I sighed not believing a word "I do not" "Niklaus its not that bad I mean you want your family back now you have a chance to have that".
I was silent "I forgot how much I liked this town" I said changing the subject "I didn't forget. All the centuries we've spent together, and yet I can count on one hand the number of times that our family has been truly happy. I hated leaving here". "As did I" I said looking forward.
"What is on your mind, brother" Elijah asked me. I sighed "for a thousand years, I lived in fear. Any time I settled anywhere, our father would hunt me down and chase me off, he made me feel powerless, and I hated it. This town was my home once, and in my absence, Marcel has gotten everything that I ever wanted. Power, loyalty, family. I made him in my image and he has bettered me. I want what he has. I want to be King".
"And you can have that with Star" I looked at him "what, we raised her since she was a kid she was like our daughter and now you think I like her". "She has grown since the last time we saw her, you made us keep her to train her and you let her go".
I stood up starting to walk away "now she's back and there's a reason for it" I stopped and turned to look at him "so you think now that I've seen her again I've developed some sort of feelings for her".
"Yes" he said "father is not here to ruin you any more and we can make this place our home once again". I looked at the ground "fine she can stay, but don't think I will ever admit that I have feelings for her". Elijah started to walk away "in a way you already have" I stood there silent then walked back to the house.
I was going to get my home back and do whatever it takes.
