Chapter 18..... Everything Is Falling Apart

Klaus

Agnes is handcuffed and brought to the church by police officers "this is outrageous! What is the charge" Agnes asks, mad as the officers sit her in a pew and leave. "Please, Agnes, you know that Marcel runs the vampires in this town". Kieran is handed a folded cloth by the officer, which is revealed to hold the Needle of Sorrows.

"Who do you think runs everything else" Kieran holds the needle up and calls out to me "I believe this is what you were looking for"? I zoom to Kieran's side "hello, Agnes" I say with a smile. "You made a deal with HIM" Agnes says mad as she stands up and gets in Kieran's face. "You can't hurt me, the entire witch community will turn against you"!

"ENOUGH! Please, enough! I don't care about witch politics. I don't care about your ridiculous little Harvest ritual. What I care about is this trinket" I yell holding up Needle of Sorrows. "Undo its curse, or I'll show you things worse than death" I said to Agnes. All she does is smirk at me "dark objects don't come with an off-switch! The curse took root in Sophie, she's linked to your devil child. It's just a matter of time"!

Agnes, and Father Kieran are still arguing "you're a piece of work, Agnes. But, guess what? I'm quite a piece of work myself. You know, I contemplated leaving bits of you artfully arranged outside your family's tomb? I thought it would leave a fitting message" I said to Agnes. I zoomed to Agnes and pulls her up into a chokehold "don't. Touch. My. Family".

Elijah enters and approaches them "leave her" I pull Agnes into a headlock and stands back as he watches Elijah walk down the aisle. "I gave my word that she wouldn't be hurt by your hands" Elijah said as Father Kieran stands up to greet Elijah. "You tend to give your word at the most inopportune times, brother. We've been doing things your way all day. Come on! Just one little snap and it's "Toodle-loo, Agnes." She deserves it" I say!

"Niklaus, don't make another move. You have asked for my forgiveness. I will grant you that forgiveness, but do not make me break my word". I glare at my brother as I considers it. After a moment I let Agnes go. I open my arms wide "my noble brother, how was that for personal growth, eh? Still, it is just like you to spoil all of my fun" I said with a smile.

Elijah stares Agnes in the eyes "oh, not exactly" Elijah zooms over to one of the men who helped Agnes and rips his heart out, throws a second man up into the air, and does the same to a third as he rips out the man's heart. He turns to Klaus with a bloody heart in each hand, and drops them to the floor. He pulls out his pocket square to wipe his hands as Agnes stares in horror, and Klaus grins proudly behind her.

"Now, I swore you would not die by my brother's hand. I said nothing of my own" Elijah said and put Agnes in a chokehold and pushes her backwards. "Nobody hurts my family and lives" Elijah snaps her neck killing her. I look at my brother surprised "well I didn't think you had it in you brother" I say with a huge smile.

"Klaus something happened" Elijah says as my smile disappears and Elijah runs off. I stood there for a minute until I ran off after him. I walked into the house fast as Elijah and Hayley came into the room "is everything ok" I asked "everything's fine Niklaus but something happened" Elijah spoke to me. "The baby" "the baby's fine Klaus" Hayley said as Star walked in looking like she just saw a ghost. Elijah looked at her "I can't do this" Star ran up the stairs and disappeared "what happened" I asked everyone.

Rebecca walked in "something happened when Sophie did the spell, see when she did the spell no one could set foot in the pool. One of Marcel's vampires came by, saw what was happening, and tried to stop it. Star killed him but" Elijah spoke but Rebecca stopped him "oh for god sakes, Klaus Star is caring your child".

I looked at them not believing them "how" I started "when Sophie did the spell if you set foot in the pool while shes doing spell. What ever she is trying stop, it goes to some else. Sophie found out that it was meant all along that Star was meant to have your child, not Hayley, the world found a loophole and took it".

I didn't believing them "you're lying" "check your self" Rebecca said as I stood there for a second then fast walk up the stairs. I walked into Stars room standing at her doorway and looked in, seeing her sitting on the side off the bed. Looking at the ground. I walked in "I see they told you" Star said without lifting her head.

I was silent "you don't believe them, believe me I wish it wasn't true. Sophie and Elijah tried everything and they can't change it". Star looked up at me "go head check, tell me I'm wrong". I listened and heard the same rapid heartbeat that I heard from Hayley. I was surprised and knew I had it on my face.

"See, no lie" Star said and looked back at the ground "I can't do this, I grew up as a hunter, killing vampires every day. I should never have a child" I searched my mind trying to find something to say, but couldn't. "Tell me I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong that I can't raise this child" Star looked at me then back at the ground.

I sighed "you can't" Start quick looked up from the ground as I sat down next to her. "Alone you can't; do you remember when Elijah made the promise to Hayley, that he would protect her, he gave his word on it. I can't give you my word on anything because I know I may break". "I second that" Star said looking at the ground.

I smiled "but I can promise you something" Star looked at me again "I will protect you, no matter what I will protect you". "Don't make promises you a-" Star started but I stopped her "no, I. Will. Protect you, no matter what" I kisses her forehead.

Star

"No. I. Will. Protect you, no matter what" I was caught off by him, he never acted this way, not even with Hayley. "And if you don't" I asked him not showing I was surprised, Klaus sighed "If I don't then, then you can kill the baby". I couldn't believe he had just said that. Klaus stood up "I'll be back" he started to walk away "Klaus" I said, stopping him and he half way turned around.

"Thank you" he sighed "don't thank me yet". Klaus walked out of the room leaving me in my thoughts and something else that I could never get rid off.

Klaus

I first walked down the stairs "where are you going" "to take care of business" I said walking out the door. Elijah looked at Rebecca who had just walked into the room "watch Star and the baby, make sure Hayley doesn't leave" Elijah ran out the door following me. I went to the cemetery as Elijah ran up next to me "come now brother don't you have to take care of somebody else".

"Klaus what are you doing" Elijah asked but I ignored him and walked into one of the tombs and found Sophie. She quick stood up as I entered "Klaus listen to me" "change it" I said "I can't the spirit's won't let me". "I can deal with the spirits, now undo the spell" I said mad.

"I can't, I have tried and tried yet I can not fix this" Sophie said, I ran up to her, grabbing her throat, and pinning her to the wall. "Klaus" Elijah said "undo the spell" "like I said I can't, nature has a way for things to work. Star was meant to have child and when nothing happened between you two, nature found a loophole and took Hayley. It was not by accident that a vampire came to the pool, it was not by accident that Star slipped and fell into the pool".

I looked at the ground as Sophie talked "Star was meant to have this child" Sophie said to me. "Niklaus you know shes right" I released my grip on Sophie and took a few steps back. "I'm sorry" Sophie said as I turned and walked out as Elijah fallowed.

Star

I sat there with the knife pointing at my heart as a few tears rolled down my face. Just when I was about to stab myself Rebecca ran in and grabbed the knife out of my hands. "Bloody hell what are you doing" Rebecca asked, mad "Rebecca you don't know how this feels, I can't do this. Rebecca I can't" I said as tears fell down my face.

"That doesn't mean you go and kill yourself or the child" Rebecca said still mad. "Why Klaus doesn't want this child, I don't want this child, this baby would be better off without us" I said standing up mad.

I walked out of my room and into my bathroom that was right next to my room. I locked the door behind me and slide down the door crying.
