Chapter 38 : SHOCKS....

Tris's POV

We eat in silence for a while.Then Lauren decides to break it.

"Tris.....me and Four were thinking....if you would like to be my maid of honour ?",Lauren says looking at me.Smiling evilly.

What ??!!?!! Maid of honour ???

I'm really,very,extremely SHOCKED !!!!!

I immediately choke on my food and start coughing.Tobias immediately stands up and hands me a glass of water.

I drink the water.And Lauren asks,"Umm.....so what have you decided ?".

I can't be the maid of honour of the lady who is marrying my husband !!

"Uhh....I'll just be back",I say and then go to the washroom.Close the door and....CRY !!

What the hell is this ?? First I lose my love to another lady and then I get the offer of being the maid of honour in my husband and that lady's wedding !!

Uriah's POV

Oh god !! This is too much for Tris.This is not fair.She has to go through so much. 

Chris stands up to go after Tris.I mouth,"I'll go" to her.She nods and sits down.

"Excuse me",I say.

"Uriah....where are you going ?",Four asks.

"Umm....I forgot to.....put my towel...to..dry",I say.

I mentally slap myself.Stupid !! You didn't get a reason better than this !!

Four nods and I run to the washroom.Cuz I know Tris is there.

"Tris",I call knocking on the door.

"Uriah ?",Tris asks.

"Yeah.It's me.Open the door",I say.

"No.Go away",Tris says.

"Tris....please.Open it.I'm not going unless you open it",I say.

Tris's POV

Why don't they ever leave me alone ?? I sigh and open the door.

"Hey",Uriah says coming in and I close the door.

"What is you problem ?",I snap.

"Uhh....I just figured that you would need a shoulder to cry",Uri says.I immediately regret snapping at him.

"I'm sorry",I say and he hugs me.

"It's okay",He says and I cry.

I don't like this.I don't like crying.It makes me feel weak.And I know I'm not weak.I don't want to cry but I can't help it.

I cry for a long time on his shoulder.

"Okay that's enough.I'm not going to let you cry more than that",Uriah says breaking the hug.I wipe my tears.

"It's not fair",I say.

"I know Tris.But life is not always fair.Oh wait !! Isn't the maid of honour practically responsible for the whole wedding ?",Uriah's says grinning.

"What ??",I ask not getting his point.

"If you accept the offer...you will be responsible for the wedding.From decorations to cake testing.But you're pregnant so....you can delay stuff",Uri says.

I get it now !! If I accept to become Lauren's Maid of honour I can delay all the work and blame it on my pregnancy.I can mess up the wedding.I can sabotage it !!!!

"I get it !!",I say smiling.

"About time you got it",Uri says grinning and I hug him.

I love my friends !!

"Thanks Uri",I say.

"Say that to a stranger.I don't accept Thanks from friends",Uri says and I smile.

"Okay",I say and break the hug.

"Let's go back.It doesn't take so long to put a towel to dry",Uri says. 

"What ??",I ask confused.

"I told them that I need to put my towel to dry and came here",Uriah says and I laugh.

"Idiot.You didn't get a reason better than that ??",I say laughing.

"Ha ha ha !",Uriah says sarcastically. 

"Now quit laughing",He says and I laugh even more.

"Okay I guess humour is good for you.Go on",He says and I laugh for a while and then stop.

"Laugh often.You look good laughing",Uriah says.

"Okay I'll remember that",I say smiling and we go back to the gang.

I'm going to make you regret Lauren.

I'm going to make you regret choosing me as your maid of honour.

I promise !!!!
